Charlie is a tenants club located in the main building of the new residential complex Charlie Living near famous Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. The club serves as a co-work area, a lounge furnished with a fireplace and large library, a gym and a concierge alongside various seating spaces. The urban quarter has been created by the real estate developer Trockland.

As part of the desire to create a warm and tranquil feeling, deep colors were used on the ceiling and carpentry details and plush fabrics and leather were chosen for the furniture from the Scandinavian company “Bolia”. The functions in the central space are divided by steel and glass partitions, which include a lounge alongside a work bar, a waiting area and a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard of the complex.

The walls of the space are covered by a custom wallpaper illustrated by the Israeli artist Tamar Bar, with famous icons from the history of East and West Berlin since the construction of the Wall to this day: icons such as Kennedy's face during his historic visit to the city, the little red and green traffic light men and Checkpoint Charlie.

The design language is a blend of modern elements along with nostalgic design such as DCW lamps, green ceramic tiles, exposed electrical conduits and terrazzo floors next to dark oak parquet. A large neon sign from a sports hall from the 70's in Berlin, is adorning the gym.  All luxury fitness equipment, including a water rower and a bike, is made out of natural materials, such as wood and upholstered in camel faux leather.
