Article source: HANDEL ARCHITECTS LLP Located in the burgeoning town of Asbury Park, the Asbury Ocean Club, Surfside Resort and Residences is a new mixed-use project on the beachfront. The building design is an homage to the beach house vernacular – simple materials, open, light and airy. The 17-story building will offer sweeping vistas of the Atlantic, and the tower's balconies extend out to accentuate the horizontal quality of the views.
The Asbury Ocean Club will feature a 54-room boutique hotel operated by Salt Hotels, with 130 residential unit above. Hotel guests and residents will enjoy a variety of indoor-outdoor spaces which include an expansive terrace with a 65’ x 30’ pool overlooking the ocean, a full-service pool bar and grill, a garden pavilion with reflecting pool, and an outdoor lounge with fireplace. All residential units include a wraparound terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows. Interiors, by Handel Architects, feature all-Miele kitchen appliances, white lacquered custom cabinetry by Spazzi of Italy, wide-plank, bleached white oak engineered hardwood flooring, engineered stone countertops, hansgrohe kitchen and bath fixtures, polished porcelain Marvel Calacatta walls in bathrooms, and walk-in rain showers.
