Data centers are facilities (commonly secluded) used to house computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems.

We understand that EBV values the creation of opportunities for learning, and we are certain architecture plays an important part of the daily dose of stimulating elements.

This is why we believe the technological heart of the school, its Data Center, should be showcased under controlled environmental conditions, for all students to see how data is safely stored, and as reminder of the school´s compromise to be technologically up to date.

The proposal will include facilities that will conform a new Technology Building on the existing computer storage area.

Our design strategies:

• A Colorful display box.

The new data center, stairs, storage room and teacher´s lounge are all contained behind a multicolored insulated external cladding, that blends in with other playground elements in place.

• A building that connects and frames nature.

With its new layout, the building generates a fluid connection at ground floor, between auditorium hall and playground. The brightly colored yellow staircase provides additional shade to the hall while framing the view to the existing tree in the playground.
