Article source: Flipê Arquitetura Flipê, designed by the Brazilian architects partners Gabriela Mestriner and Natalia Minas, was born from the desire to assume a meaning about their production. A young office, made up of a team, set. We know the importance of the whole, that nothing alone has a complete result, and we bring this vision to our creations. Our own language and personality is the starting point for any project, but we believe is it only complete once you find the customer, the use and the experience in space. The architecture is created to meet the spatial needs of those who inhabit, so we must create spaces not only to supply them, but atmospheres to experience, where you can project personalities, modify it, belong to each other.
Flipê Architecture has in it self the desire to create and architecture that isn’t static, but always able do adapt, considering several possible scenes. It seeks to design functional and changing spaces that meet today´s needs and are able to absorb the future desires. People and routines change and we must look at it whit attention, because the society is constantly changing, we believe that architecture has to go along with this fundamental role. For this reason also, the office permeates several areas, such as architecture, interior design, furniture and object design, scenography, among other. We believe in connection, in the unity of the all arts, in the whole. We create spaces that always consider the whole, permeating the scale from detail to the object, from the object to the architecture, from the architecture to the experience, always having this resilient design unit as the primary guideline. Concept of the project Assuming that integration is expansion, the ground floor became a large social area. Where kitchen, dining room, living and balcony work together. We´ve created an atmosphere to receive friends and a dynamic apartment for the couple who live in it. As soon as you enter the apartment, you can see the entire social area, against the background of a large green wall and all the technical and equipment mimicked in the white panels created for it. The entire project has been carefully designed by the office with elements tailored in locksmiths (hallmark of the office) and woodwork. Important elements were created in the project, such as the gray wood frame that holds the kitchen and home theater; the sheet metal ladder that mixes with the double-height metalworking bookcase; and yet the unpredictable two-tone wooden stair panel with built-in handrail to access the second pavement that contains wardrobe in it. Through these details, the project talks about continuity, unity, multifunctionality, which are strong principles of the office in question. Color palette White, gray and black, in various shades, materials and textures. From the concrete on the ceiling, past the discolored joinery and permeating the locksmiths of shelves and tables. We bring timely earthy and woody tones to warm the space through the choices os the finishes of furniture like leather and wooden ceiling of the master bedroom. Style It is not intended to follow a specific aesthetic language preexistent. When designing new spaces, Flipê always seeks to understand the costumer expectations through its own unique language of the office. We pursuit our guideline of creating functional and flexible spaces, that can adapt to the uses, times, that we believe are constantly changing. Through a modern language, we seek an architecture that can allow usages of the most diverse, embrace in different ways. And in this way, we create through our eyes spaces that has the Flipê style, but that will only be complete with the client´s experience. Contact Flipê Arquitetura
