Article source: Elías Rizo Arquitectos Located in a residential neighborhood within the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Casa DSPR is developed in 3 levels; At street level there is the main entrance that has two entrances, vehicular and pedestrian separated by a stone wall located inside a pond that leads to the entrance of the house.
On first floor we can find the public areas such as kitchen, dining room and living room, as well as the service areas, laundry, service kitchen, utility rooms and garage. As a central part of the project is a patio – that allows the lighting and ventilation of all public areas of the house. The basement houses the recreation areas of the house, TV room, games room, terrace and bar that opens to an extensive garden in which the pool and jacuzzi area is located; while the upper floor contains the rooms, kitchenette, white closet and a TV studio. The design aesthetic seeks to make the most of the land on which it develops, generating spaces with great open space. Another important feature of the project is the use of different materials such as stone, marble and wood that in combination give the house greater warmth and life; the wood cladding on the façade protects the windows from the solar incidence and give greater privacy to the rooms.
