Article source: Studio Arquiteturas A young executive from São Paulo lives on this 125m2 apartment. The apartment 73 of the Flora Building is a creation (from design to execution) by Studio Arquiteturas (or Architectures in English). “The client was very open during the creative process. He arrived with no images or references. So we strived to understand his personality and lifestyle”, explains the architect Luciana Uras from Studio Arquiteturas. Surprises from the apartment start on the entrance hall. The blue bar is the invitation to visit the apartment and taste its many details, spread on the walls, floor and ceiling. Primary colors and lots of wood and concrete make an integrated space with hall, kitchen, TV and dining room. All furniture is of contemporary Brazilian design.
“Challenges arose during construction when dealing with a myriad of different suppliers and a very short time for execution. Every detail thought at the office desk made all the difference to the final result at the apartment”, says Luciana’s partner at Arquiteturas, the also architect Evelyne Grande. A big highlight is the toilet: A translucent glass door is completely unusual for a bathroom. “We brought the neighboring Vila Madalena (a traditional scene for youngsters, bohemians and artists) into the toilet with art works by Luís Bueno and by Gráfica Fidalga” also described the architects: A colorful scenery for many selfies!
