Article source: biro+ The project focuses on the expansion of a housing unit through the addition of two rooms obtained from the immediately adjacent apartment and the redefinition of the fixed furnishings of the bedrooms. The new living space, removed any wall division, is redesigned through the introduction a double-sided and multifunctional furniture system.
Based on the characteristics of each space, every portion of the custom-made furniture gives an answer to different problems and performs different functions. The furniture is in this way able to order the spaces into a hierarchy and to solve, for all its extension, the problem of mechanical and lighting installations. A gap with no doors is created in each section of the furniture through a work of subtractions, thus defining the new directions and visual axes. Share this:RelatedContact biro+
