Article source: biro+ The project focuses on the expansion of a housing unit through the addition of two rooms obtained from the immediately adjacent apartment and the redefinition of the fixed furnishings of the bedrooms.  Image Courtesy © Filippo Ferrarese Based on the characteristics of each space, every portion of the custom-made furniture gives an answer to different problems and performs different functions. The furniture is in this way able to order the spaces into a hierarchy and to solve, for all its extension, the problem of mechanical and lighting installations. A gap with no doors is created in each section of the furniture through a work of subtractions, thus defining the new directions and visual axes.
