Article source: CoDA arquitetos The Muxarabi apartment was designed for CoDA’s youngest client who wanted to give her first apartment a new look. Despite the newly opened building, the resident needed to optimize the space for her routine. Therefore, the internal division of the project was slightly rearranged.  Image Courtesy © Júlia Tótoli Among the solutions, we highlight the closed bookcase with mashrabiya panels, which separate the living room and the hallway, camouflaging various utilities such as TV boxes, controls, air conditioning, etc. Aiming at optimizing time and costs, the project kept original materials of the apartment such as the floors and coverings of the social bathroom and the laundry room. The decor also followed a more youthful and contemporary line. The joinery is all executed in light tones, as well as most of the furniture, leaving only a few objects with color in the environment. This enhances the luminosity and smoothness of the project. Some of the furniture stands out in the project, such as the raw wood dining room base (AmazoonWoods), the green velvet sofa (Neobox) and two Sandra armchairs in the living room, pieces by the Brazilian designer and architect Samuel Lamas.
