Article source: INSAYN Design Society The Cookillage Apartment was designed by the Studio Insayn Design Society based on the open concept inspired by the landscape and atmosphere of the beach, in order to promote the daylight into the spaces and the fresh feeling of the sea. This project was created for a young and very special client and her baby on the way, excited to have her apartment adapted to her needs and those of her baby too. Cookillage was designed according to her personality discovered after some meetings together and filled questionnaires.
First information received about our client before starting this project revealed clearly the personality the apartment needed to show. She loves the summer, the beach, the sand and a particular one, the flavor of the cookies, she also enjoys having good times with friends, she likes the shapes, the geometry, minimalism and the details in every corner of the space. This typical Barcelona flat located in the Eixample, had a distribution in the social area that did not go with the concept, that’s why we opened the kitchen, making the social area all in one space. An open kitchen, an open living and an open dining room unifying all these spaces in order to have an open space like the landscape of the beach, and the living room could be able to receive friends for Aperol and dinner too. As our client works from home, we created a custom-made furniture mixing smart storages and working space, a very important detail in order to maintain this beachy landscape. Something that is a big detail: a baby will join this space, so the baby room had to be created with this peaceful beach atmosphere near the parent’s one. This flat is full of textures and colors that will take you directly to the beach, thanks to the details that remind you of waves and sun. Inside this space you can feel the Mediterranean style all around the corner, this is why the main colors of the flat are terra-cota and beige, this color palette inspired by the colors of the sunset and the atmosphere of the beach. In order to reflect and transmit everything the client was looking for, we started with a basic concept where we tried to recreate the personality and the needs of our client in the whole space. Geometry and colors are some of the main characters of this project. Creating contrasts, playing with colors, incorporating geometry corresponding to each space. We wanted to create a beachy atmosphere where colors meet the endless geometry. Each space of this project has its own personality, fills up with Insayn energy and reflects the youth, the beach, the peace in the space. Share this:RelatedContact INSAYN Design Society
