Located in the hill city of Sri Lanka, amidst the vast greenery lies #28, tucked lightly within nature itself. The elevated structure allows parking and services at the ground level. First floor acts as the main space with a terrace on the roof level. Ramps and stairs lead the way up to the main spaces. The form of the building is derived to maximize the view while simultaneously embracing an intimacy with nature.

The hotel has three private sections which are intertwined by one common, uniting volume. Each private section include a bedroom with a private terrace, personal workspace, a carefully designed bathroom with a Jacuzzi that frames distant views. In between these sections is a spacious living area and a dining with kitchen. All these spaces have large openings that give visual access to the extraordinary tree canopy in and around the site.

Trees grow through and beyond the roof terrace, merging with nature and creating a feeling of being in outdoors.

The all-black, exposed concrete walls and steel structure hide into the mini forest around the building. Steel structure compliments the concrete finishes while the large door-windows contribute to integrate with the surrounding nature.
