Among all the spaces around man, the most effective one is ‘HOME’ where one can experience a sense of belonging and gets used to it.

The architecture of today’s houses, is just defined and limited among the boundaries used as sleeping spaces, and not a delightful atmosphere, thus this causes some people to lose vitality and dynamism. Meanwhile, by looking at the past, we would find out that with the presence of nature in combination with the houses, life was way different from today.

It is the first place, one experiences a sense of belonging and gets used to it.

The architecture of today’s houses, is just defined and limited among the boundaries used as sleeping spaces, and not a delightful atmosphere for living, thus this causes some people to lose vitality and dynamism.

Meanwhile, by looking at the past, we would find out that life was way different from today and the main reason for that was the presence of nature in combination with the houses.

According to the site, which was located between the mountains and the sea, we subtracted a section in the middle of the mass to avoid the interruption of the view. As a result of this subtraction, spatial continuity has also been completely provided.

All three types of spaces, closed to semi-opened and opened, were designed in this project. These open green spaces (HAYATs which means LIFE) are meant to bring life back to the living environment.

The HAYATs in this project are the recreation of the traditional Iranian houses with yards that induce a pleasant atmosphere.

Unlike the yards in today’s residences, which are just embellished with plants and residents inevitably just pass by them without really paying attention.

we tried to design some green open spaces at different levels, proportional to our occupancy so that the landscape continuity of the project would not be interrupted by the building mass.

By planting trees in HAYATs, we aimed to improve the quality of living spaces and increase the sense of being in nature.

Also, green terraces, which help improve the landscape view continuity and maintain the connection with it, are all designed as semi-opened spaces.

That could lead to many positive consequences such as; increasing creativity and satisfaction, decreasing stress, and generally, making people feel more alive. So, these terraces can provoke people to spend much more time in them.

Each green terrace also functions as the roof of the below level, which makes it form the concept of “TAQ-BAGH.”

These “TAQ-BAGH”s also have a full view of the sea, mountains, tea garden, and the river.
