Article source: DIN interiorismo This Love Hotel designed by DIN interiorismo´s team took as starting point for the development of the concept the tatami —these traditional Japanese mats that were used to cover the floor of the main rooms for the purpose of rescuing the close connection that should exist between the space and the person who is going to inhabit it, referring to the sensibility of human beings.
For ambiance we search for the sensuality and eroticism of the drawings in the traditional Japanese books that describe the amatorious arts. The center of the color palette is the signature color red that defines the nation of the rising sun and was combined with mustard shades related to the golds that stand out in the ornaments of temples and different buildings. An essential part of the Love Hotels are the foreplaydomes (original concept of DIN interiorismo), these elements that arouse in the guests the desire for adventure and experimentation, for this hotel three main types were designed. One on the headboard shaped as stands, the second one is a seat suspended by steel cables reminding Geta shoes and the third one shaped as a tong with adjustable heights. A series of tubes frame the bed, referring to the bamboo constructions, that invite to invent games in the martial arts pure style. The plafond and floors design take shape with two opposing curves that never touch, the very ones that mark circulations and the different zones inside the room. In addition, next to the bed we designed a low table that works to have a snack or as the stage for a dance. As we use to do in this kind of hotels the shower is surrounded by glass playing and important erotic role as it may be seen from any point of the room. Taking advantage of the magnificent weather of the city of Cuernavaca, location of this pleasure haven, some of the rooms have a roof garden, unique in the city of the eternal spring.
