Article source: Araiz Floristán Arquitectos The project involves the renovation of an indoor swimming pool and the extension of this building by a linear volume in which the current 25-metre pool, an activity pool and, in a separate space in visual continuity with the first, hydromassage and contrast pools are located.  Image Courtesy © Pedro Pegenaute The access corridor to the pools has been remodeled, and a new distributor has been designed on the first floor, which resolves the access and evacuation of the existing activity rooms. This corridor, where the lockers have been replaced, connects the main entrance and two new squash courts. Two viewpoints are planned to provide an elevated view of the activity rooms. For the entire extended area, the lighting design is based on skylights integrated into the roof design. The orientation of these skylights helps to generate a game of changing lights and shadows throughout the day.
