Article source: TEC Taller EC The Visores houses are located between two mountain ranges in the Cumbayá valley, they find their place in the world based on their orientation. The perception is complete, when what we see from the windows belongs to the house as well. Hence the importance of projecting it from the point of view of those who are going to visit it.
Two houses are directly related to the view of the valley, all the volumes of black andesite stone on the upper floors are projected as viewers, achieving a direct relationship between the interior space and the landscape. The white volume on the ground floor works as a basement, contains the social spaces of the house and has continuity with the green area. A void is inserted that spatially connects each house, this void is made up of the stairs and a tree capable of organizing and configuring the rigid and flexible spaces in its perimeter, as well as connecting and articulating the house in section. The voids inserted in the house and the work on the fifth façade as a main layer of the project turn the house into a play of light and shadow inside. A concrete wall divides the two houses, this wall is accompanied by voids on all floors that allow indirect light to enter from the roof, in addition to generating acoustic insulation between the houses. This set of volumes establishes a system, the set of rules established in the design process, the valuation of phenomena and realities in response to the place, resulting in its final complexity. The correct reading of the information, its due interpretation and its rigor when processing it, are what determine the system that orders the rooms, gives functionality to the program, generates a solution for the structure and determines the system that orders the house, which read and work in section. From the outside, the architecture is perceived as ordered as a product of its interior logic. Contact TEC Taller EC
