The aim of the project is to design the production and management structure of the Taiwanese stainless steel company investing in Turkey.

The main goals in the construction of the building; employees’ ability to work efficiently and willingly in a qualified and prestigious environment, ease of production and management connections, energy efficiency, sustainability, waste management, and optimization of the process flow were the criteria. In addition, according to the feng shui rules that the company cares about, the entrance angles of the building, spatial relations, the use of form, color, nature elements, the expectation of having a respectful structure that encourages the establishment of fruitful and good relations were guiding in the design.

The fact that the building is essentially a factory building requires the implementation of many standards and process requirements. In fact, it is not possible to give flexibility to the form.

Management and social areas can provide opportunities for architecture to make a difference. The entrance section was designed in soft lines to break the hard corners in feng shui principles and to draw the architectural interest of the building and placed inside the water element. Social areas were created for the employees with the bridge created to reveal the basement, the water muscle floors and the garden whose borders were drawn with the amphitheater area.

The building’s demand to create a perception of high prestige formed the principle of keeping the guests away from the activity in the production area. In order to achieve this, the entrance canopy covering the parking area of the guest vehicles was used. The electronic welcome board, on which the names of the arriving guests are written, was placed above the entrance door and directed to the building with a long walkway. Meanwhile, the guest; with landscape, water and architectural elements, it was prepared for surprise effects at every step.

The entrance of the building was designed in such a way as to allow the firm, which is an art collector, with its spacious, sculptural stance, to exhibit its works. The red staircase placed in the gallery space, which points out the deep perspective view, the garden and the water games, is seen on all floors with its sculptural stance.

The stainless steel material they produce enriches the details indoors and outdoors.

The production floor, which was designed as a basement floor with the idea of a viaduct ramp located on the long façade on the production side, was completely freed from the construction of retaining walls and huge fillings. Thanks to the viaduct placed away from the building, the basement floor; It has turned into a convenient solution that is easy to manufacture and maintain, whose entire front is exposed, and which can receive light. Private social area and open storage areas could be obtained under the viaduct.

In the planning, the most practical way to establish the functional relationship between blue-collar and white-collar employees, who are users of the building, with each other, production and office areas was prioritized. Employee entrances, locker rooms, laboratories, training areas, operation managers and technical office employees’ spaces are placed at the most appropriate distances and floors from the production and shipping areas, and are positioned so that they can see each other visually. Vehicle maneuvering, the dimensions of the weighing areas, the doors placed according to the process, the elements that carry horizontal and vertical transport, and the crane layouts that accelerate the operation have been detailed in a way that will affect the efficiency and production speed.

The dining hall area was placed in a place that would be suitable for social use, adjacent to the garden. Amphitheater steps designed for outdoor presentation, semi-open areas that provide shade, and refreshing and relaxing water games create socializing areas that strengthen company ties.

As a factory structure, when compared to its peers, it was aimed to have an existence that makes its presence felt in its geography, is catchy, prestigious, arouses curiosity and gives the desire to work.

The building differentiates itself with the social areas that the facade of the basement floor reveals in both directions, the use of open spaces, façade interpretations with plenty of light and spacious interior solutions, solutions to increase occupational safety of waste and dangerous operations, and its disabled-friendly structure.

The primary expectation from the design; It was the achievement of a qualified living space where it was felt that the power, vision, expertise, importance given to quality and employee happiness were valued by the company.

The primary goal of the vision was to have a happy, highly motivated, productive team with a strong sense of belonging by offering a unique working environment to its employees.

It was pleasing to see the contribution of the design to the achievement of the targeted employee quality at the point reached in the final.

The company is excited to be able to receive positive feedback from the messages it wants to give to the target market, customers, employees and the environment faster than expected in this investment that it has made quite far from its homeland. The investment is considered to be an inspiring example for the sector.

The importance given to energy efficiency and insulation, the recovery of process heat, the recycling of process wastes, the use of daylight, the recycling of rain water and gray water ensure sustainability.

In order to benefit from daylight, heat and sound quality in office areas, high quality glass preferences, mesh shadings provide comfort and energy savings. The water element used in the open areas was used to provide a cooling environment with the microclimate created in the summer heat.
