This house is located in a small village characterized by its hills rising in front of the sea from where any point has a fantastic view. Thanks to that privileged location, the house is designed with only one premise: orienting each of their principal rooms, terraces and pool, in the view’s direction to allow its enjoyment at any moment. This statement ends being the leading idea of the interior distribution and design of the principal façade.

The house has three floors: the day area is located on the ground floor with its exterior extension towards the garden and the pool; the night area, on the first floor, includes a principal suite and two more bedrooms, and the basement contains the garage and a technical room.

The main façade has its distinctive feature as the pillars holding the terraces and the roof are designed in a diagonal shape to create a major angle towards the view. This shape also is the result of a previous sun study, which allows the sunlight to go into the house at the best moment of the day, related to the use of the space, and also protecting it in the worst.

The huge living room window frames the landscape with an extension from one lateral façade to another, allowing the house to grow towards the garden. On the other way round, it also allows enjoying the terrace and the pool as part of the inside. The kitchen is also part of these open spaces, and thanks to the window facing the views, cooking becomes a new experience.

On the first floor, the principal suite includes a big bathroom, a dresser and a big terrace shared with the other bedrooms. The stair is designed following the owners’ desires to make it a symbolic element, as a second protagonist, which stands out for its materiality but specially for being suspended in the middle of the house. A large window frames the stair to emphasize its importance.

The interior design maintains the exterior colours, creating an essential contrast between white and black to emphasize the most distinctive elements of the space, such as the stair or the kitchen. The presence of wood brings warmth to the house which bit by bit it will be colonized by every detail and memory of its inhabitants.

A modern house, where every line and detail is designed for a particular reason: to achieve its owners’ dreams.
