House 388

1 Memory
A horizontal plane suspended on a natural sloping ground. These two elements delimit the void to be worked on. Within this contained space, loose volumes are organized that delimit the different functions of living.

THE LAND
The land is located in a circular cul de sac, so it is a portion of a circle of 1350 meters with a steep slope that rises towards the bottom.
In the front a small square. Towards the end, a large green space that opens to the north.

2. Development
SUBJECT: The richest matter is the surrounding green space. The goal is to catch it.  The great horizontal plane extends, captures the exterior and makes it its own.  Under the large roof and with the function of protecting yourself from the street, there is a closed stone plinth that contains the SUM.  On the plinth and under the roof, an open plan with the social functions that dominate the street due to the unevenness and go directly back to the park level.  On the other hand, the bedroom sector partially covers the cars, shelters under the large roof and also overlooks the street.

In cut, the spaces are concatenated and related, achieving constant diagonals that break the box. From the bedrooms you have a visual domain of the sum that is two levels below and 20 meters away.

Empty and full are trapped by the black plane. To this is added a figure (green terrace) that is nailed to the carpentry of the living-dining room and due to its inclination it protects privacy and directs the gaze to the sky.

INVESTIGATION

  • Floor plan, suspended ceiling plan and thus the generation of a space where the functions move freely within it. To be, to circulate Inside Outside.
  • The line that defines inside and outside moves freely under him.
  • Work with constant space leaks and in all directions as you walk under a large canopy.
Investigating the multiplicity of spatial situations was the premise of this work.

Connecting with nature is the beginning of this work. Create your own space, protected, deprived of the visual continuity of private neighborhoods.

The house is developed in half levels linked by a system of ramps, which is first outside and then continues inside. The first section conforms to the natural terrain and reaches the point of entry or social plant. From here you can continue with the ramp that leads to the bedroom sector.

The most sought after relationship is the spatial one. The omnipresent cover links all the spaces and orders them. They are all under it. Those of being and those of circular. The ramps walk under it and leave us in the different places that look at each other. The look wanders through different levels and always observes the green that gives meaning to the adopted typology.
