The Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail is a linear park of scenic trails and landscaping that follows the banks of the Colorado River in downtown Austin. Very popular among runners and bike riders, the park provides residents and visitors with a rural escape in an urban setting. The Restroom—the first public restroom built in the park in over 30 years—was built by the Town Lake Trail Foundation, a community-based non-profit organization, in partnership with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Professional cycling has developed enormously in the State of Sinaloa, Mexico, in the last decade. Several international star athletes have brought attention to the sport, fueled by Olympic victories and enthusiastic press. Consequently there is an interest in building Culiacan´s new velodrome, as well as incorporating policies that favor cycling as a mode of transportation into the city’s plans for new public spaces. Our vision channels this newfound enthusiasm for cycling into a single thread that unites a professional sports building with a cycling-oriented park development.

PLAY is the 21st century equivalent of what WORK was to the industrial age.
TREEHAUS is a breakthrough playspace that rethinks one of the most iconic and universal childhood activities – the tree house – by creating a 3-dimensional, immersive structure that children climb over, on, and inside of, allowing for a completely unstructured and child-directed free play.
Designing an athletic track could get you as bored as when you are running on it: curve, straight, curve, straight, again and again. Perfectly standardized, sport architecture has become more universal than international style. Track length of 400 m, 36.5 m radious. 1.22 m each lane….just data, without any fissure to let your imagination soar.
Software used: Designed the track in Rhinoceros with Grasshopper (parametric tool). This tool allowed the architects to create multiple variations of the solutions, varying its slope, size, orientation, surface… optimizing the solution.
