The project is a top-floor apartment located on the west side of Beihai. In order to give the mixed-race daughter a more stable and free growth environment, the client commissioned the designer Wang Daquan a renovation of the apartment. Thus, the East and the West, the new city and the ancient capital, the tradition and the contemporary, the straightforward clearness and chaotic metaphor, are all wisely woven together by space.
The residence usually reveals the imprint of local people’s life pattern from time and culture. This project is located in the heart of Taipei. In this city with both of bustling pace and rigorous traditional culture, the residence presents the record of the daily life of the family.
The program is aimed at intergenerational housing with 8 housing units intended for seniors (3 T2, 5 T3), 1 T4 housing unit intended for a student flat share, and the rest of the housing units intended for families.
The 15 parking lots planned for this operation will find their place in the silo parking lot of program A to the north of program B.
The 2-wheelers will be sheltered by the porch, accessible from the ground floor, at the interface between the street and the heart of the block to the south of the building (51 m²).
The time and turn for curved shapes. Fluid architecture is not just an aesthetic issue. It reflects the moment we are living in: the breaking of rigidity. Freer spaces, with less hard lines, make the atmosphere lighter and improve well-being. This is reflected from the design of more flexible layouts, through the finishes and even the execution of the spatial structure.
This 230 m2 property, located next to University city in São Paulo, with bold and current days view approach, is an immersion of the architect Diego Revollo in the universe of flowing and curved lines. The owners of the property , fans of the office, and who have been with us for a long time, agreed to do something outside the comfort zone, with more masonry than joinery resources.

The KLEO Art Residences intentionally challenge norms in affordable housing construction by making natural light and quality of living the overriding priority in the project. The project represents the first time in Chicago’s history where polycarbonate panels represent the majority of the exterior envelope.
The building is one piece in a greater comprehensive strategy for reinvigorating the Washington Park community on Chicago’s South Side. The inspiration for the Art Residences project emerged from KLEO’s mission, Keep Loving Each Other, but most importantly by continuing the legacy of Kleo Y. Barrett, who was a victim of a domestic violence incident that took her life. Her name and legacy will continue to inspire the project and encourage families affected by domestic violence.
The site is located on a prominent corner in historic Parramatta in Sydney’s West. The surrounding buildings ranges from 2 to 18 storey apartment buildings, so this was very much an infill project. The 9 storey development contains ground floor retail and 32 units above totally some 4500m2. The massing fills in the corner and completes the streetscape. The streetscape on the ground floor is activated with retail uses. As the site is extremely tight it is impossible to achieve ramp access to the basement levels. A car loft is used for parking access. The design of the apartments has been influenced by the principles of passive solar design. The majority of units are either corner units, through units or have ventilation slots on the façade to maximise natural ventilation and minimise energy use. The façade lattice screen was originally intended as a structure for a green wall on the entire façade.
There are 2 main aspects of this project. The first one is reshaping the typicaly structured space arrangement of the apartment, originally from the 1950s, with the intention of creating a multipurpose living space for a young family, that would put an emphasis on the importance of social interactions.
Tlacotalpan 89 arises from the merger of two properties, approximately 475m2, in the Roma Sur neighborhood. Its location is essential both in mobility and in the architectural analysis, due to the real estate growth in the region and the demand for strong design. The merger of both these properties generated the ability to carry out different configurations for the apartments, open areas, parking lots and public areas.
