“Ses Oliveres” Beach House in Girona, Spain by Toni Girones

The secular action of Cadaqués population interpreting the natural space and setting out the stone terraces in a dry process for the planting of olive trees and grapes, it is a morphologic characteristic of “Cap de Creus”. The course of time and the scanty means, they thought a technique and trace the system ground rules that optimize the natural resources.

El Golf D17 Beach House in Asia, Peru by rrmr arquitectos

The housing unit is a temporary summer home developed in the coastal desert of Lima, 95Km from the city. The stretch of land stands on a moderate slope in a privileged location with a frontal view to a golf course and a lateral view to the sea.As a starting point, stands a large, comfortable terrace ending in a longitudinal swimming pool, which represents the main living space. On both sides of the plot, green areas may be found, which allow for natural illumination on the lower levels.

Lido in St Leonards-on-Sea, UK by Quixotic Architecture

The proposed site for the Lido beach pavilion development stands 0.8 miles west of Marine Court on the site of Sidney Little’s famous 1930’s bathing pool in West St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. The project is aimed at regenerating the most westerly end of St Leonards seafront and is situated on the new south coast cycle route between Bexhill and Hastings.

THE CONCEPT
Lido will function as a stylish beach resort with outdoor recreation, leisure and entertainment facilities directly on the beach. As a place of rest and recreation, the beach bar and restaurant will provide informal dining and bar facilities for up to 300 visitors. The pavilion will also offer use of changing and showering facilities to beach visitors and those keen to enjoy the non-motorised watersports the area has to offer.
