The municipality of Hod-Hasharon was established as a cluster of four colonies or neighborhoods, each of which has its own center of public activities. The aim of the proposed municipal civic center is to create a complex of public services in an area common to the four neighborhoods, to unite them into a municipal fabric.
Darling Quarter is a true integration of urban design, architecture, and landscape architecture toward the creation of a public place within the City. We have sought to enhance the joy and beauty of Darling Harbour, one of the most popular public places in Australia, and to do so in a way that imbues it with a sense of quality and permanence.
The town of Pornic’s elected representatives expressed their “deep-rooted” commitment to regional tradition, immediately excluding any other architectural form that did not match the traditional volumes and templates of the Pays de Retz, such as roofs with gable roofs, covered in tiles.
Because the Communauté de Communes (Town Community) Centre had to fit into a business park already denoted by previous building projects (hospitals, police station, office buildings), which had all been subjected to these regulations, we chose to make a different contextual offer in relation to the site and its history.
SPACE FOR THE MUNICIPALITY
The newly constructed building of the Parish Centre Kirchschlag tries to cater to the needs of a jointly controlled parish without a local pastor.
The House of Justice serves as a two storey civic centre for the people of Mestia, a village with a strong cultural heritage. Its concrete structure frames the spectacular landscape of the Caucasian Mountains. The building is part of an ensemble of new public buildings around the main central public plaza.

The former Palencia Provincial Prison complex was created at the end of the XIX century, built with brick bearing walls following the “neomudéjar” style, and composed mainly of four two-storey wings and some other with one storey. On this building was planned a comprehensive refurbishment to transform the former use and convert it into a center that promotes the social and cultural activity in this part of the town.
The heart of downtown Asheville’s arts and entertainment scene, the Asheville Civic Center, has been a regional destination for over 35 years hosting diverse entertainment, trade shows and events. Pearce Brinkley Cease + Lee, in association with Betsch Associates, is providing design and construction administration services for renovations to the Civic Center. Events must continue during construction. To accommodate the Civic Center’s schedule, the renovations will be completed in distinct phases, beginning with movable seating replacement. Lighting and electronics replacement follows; next renovation of concession and concourse areas; and finally the addition of events support areas, e.g. large meeting rooms, locker rooms, media areas and talent green rooms.

Shanghai Zhangpu civic center is an administration and government complex organized like a city and structured in three concepts, government, business and public services. The overall circular layout is based on the shape of local traditional jade ware, which symbolizes peace and harmony. The open layout with a central courtyard also expresses our hope for a more modern and friendly government. Many attempts are made for an environmentally friendly building, such as the wind turbines and solar panels installed on top the office building.
This renovation and enlargement project makes no attempt to conceal its architectural additions and respects the style of the original building. The new sections are designed to blend in with the old and seek to create a fluid dialogue between the renovated area and the enlargements.

A new landmark for the citizens of Durango and a new symbol of Eusko Tren’s identity and expansion across Europe. Our concept conjoins buildings emerging from the site and creates a connective urban tissue of tracks, pathways and parking to provide direct access to the station and commercial space.
