New psychiatric clinic at Tampere University Hospital, a building to support patients’ healing process and the staff’s work environment – a beneficial environment for the good of all.
The psychiatric clinic comprises a self-contained extension to Tampere University Hospital, located on the outer edge of the hospital area and adjacent to a surrounding nature/outdoor area. The link with the hospital’s infrastructure creates organisational and structural advantages, whilst the secluded location gives the building its own identity and privacy. The latter features, the contact with nature and the possibility of outdoor environments are a great advantage in psychiatric care.
The project is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) clinic situated within Chunxi Road Commercial Circle, which embodies the diversified and lively art of life in Chengdu. Based on modern people's lifestyle, Fan Art & Design well balanced commercial strategy and artistic creation in the interior design, and presented a unique spatial narrative centering on TCM, the treasure of Chinese cultural heritage.
JACA Architects was selected by Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital of Needham, Massachusetts, in December 2017 to design the 37,000-square-foot new outpatient clinical center with a $29 million project budget. JACA’s familiarity with the campus, staff, and regulatory processes of BID-Needham, from the several other projects they have completed for the hospital, helped them stand out from other firms.

The program confines four different CEU San Pablo University faculties necessities (odontology, physiotherapy, psychology, and nutrition) in a unique 2.780 m2 space arranged in two different levels, located on Almansa 66 Street on the Tetuán Madrid district.
While on the first floor space is dedicated to conventional classrooms and student changing rooms, on the ground floor the protagonists are the odontology clinic’s curved boxes. This boxes are arranged in clusters of four allowing teachers to simultaneously tutor the treatment of four patients at the same time, allowing communication between student and teachers without compromising the privacy of the patients.
A shabby structure built in the soviet times in Kontorska street is transforming into a dental clinic with a training centre. although the building has no historical value, we decided to retain its major formal characteristics and proportions. The rhythmic pattern of the facade is also preserved. However, those premises that need more daylight have received bigger window openings. The new colors of façade finishing and windows are typical of the authentic built environment of kharkiv. These are dark gray walls and brownish-red window frames and reveals.
Three prominent Memphis orthopedic practices joined forces to offer a more comprehensive and integrated experience for patients. Tabor Orthopedics, Memphis Orthopedic Group, and MSK Group had a vision for a new Bartlett, TN office that would be convenient to their collective patients, with the ability to offer clinic, x-ray, physical therapy, and MRI services all under one roof.
It is a clinic to be built in Kanoya city of Osumi Peninsula. Because there is a level difference of almost one floor on the site, we had a structure to receive earth pressure at the semi-underground part, and the first floor part of the clinic was able to be an extensive flat surface incorporating the courtyard etc. In the bird’s-eye view, the volumes with different elongated height and height jumped against the steps are connected while being shifted, causing a change in the inner space such as a corridor with a high ceiling height, a waiting wait.
DOCTOR U is a two-room children’s outpatient clinic, located in a new residential complex in Kyiv.
Our main task was to create an atypical atmosphere for the medical institution, which does not leave negative memories in children and thus does not program them for further fear of visiting a doctor.
The project aims to represent the character of a ritual place, through the introduction of a few elementary signs.
The space is divided into two distinct areas, the waiting area and the operating area, separated by a large door that emphasizes the theme of the threshold.
The door is partly openable to balance and partly sliding, and allows you to modulate the large room to adapt it to specific occasions.
A mixed-use renovation and extension, HVdP squeezes a state-of-the-art veterinarian hospital, SPCA emergency clinic, and four residential units in and on top of a small abandoned photo studio.
