Hospitality, retail and branding designers Phoenix Wharf have completed a clever and colourful refurbishment of hospitality outlet Old Chang Kee in Covent Garden. The Singaporean family-run operator opened its first two UK stores in Covent Garden’s New Row in 2018 and on Goodge Street, also in London, at the end of 2019.

Tiffany Facade in Singapore Changi by MVRDV

The Tiffany & Co. store in Singapore’s Changi Airport has opened with a sustainable façade designed by MVRDV. Located in the airport’s Piazza Garden, near to the Moshe Safdie-designed Jewel Changi, the store features a one-of-a-kind façade that highlights the House’s commitment to sustainability. It features a coral-inspired screen, 3D printed using recycled plastic thanks to the assistance of Amsterdam-based company Aectual and Milan-based engineers BUROMILAN.

‘Archivo’ is a new space for Mexico City offering an exciting mixture of manifold programs, that aims to further enrich the cultural and social life of the metropolis.

Located in the heart of Mexico City, the new cultural hub is comprised of spaces for temporary exhibitions and a permanent collection of design pieces as well as room for educational and communal activities, social events and commercial use. ‘Archivo’ will attract both locals and first-time visitors, and will thus bring new life and regenerative energy into an undiscovered part of central Mexico City.
