Child Graddon Lewis Architects have submitted a planning application on behalf of A2Dominion Developments for the proposed redevelopment of a high profile site in West Hampstead in Camden.
The Swiss architecture and design practice Evolution Design, in close collaboration with the client Swiss Life, created 46 individual 2.5-4.5 room maisonettes and flats with a unique concept.
The aim was to develop flats, which would go beyond the functionality and offer an ideal added value as well as have their own identity. It was announced today by the Egyptian Ministry of State for Urban Renewal and Informal Settlements MURIS) that Foster + Partners has won the competition to design the masterplan for the Maspero Triangle District in downtown Cairo. The neighbourhood, situated on the banks of the River Nile is characterised by its informal settlements and dense urban fabric. The 35ha masterplan aims to introduce new residential, commercial and retail spaces, while rehousing the majority low income population in the same area and retaining its unique character and spatial attributes.
At the heart of one of the busiest zones of Karaj, Valiahdi Commercial Complex is located in a vehicular-pedestrian boulevard. Taking into account the high volume of pedestrians in the area, it was important for the design team to create a multidimensional facade which respects the observer from various angles and creates an intimate connection between the building and the city.
Due to the rapid growth of the company, Béton provincial needed more space to continue to operate efficiently, in a workspace that would reflect their signature and harmonize with the existing construction. Fugère Architecture was mandated to design a 3 storey extension of 775 m2, almost doubling the building area.

The commission was straightforward: to design and construct a new commercial building on the outskirts of Nova Gorica, a Slovenian city founded in 1948 near the ‘original’ town of Gorica and close to the Italian border. The Slovenian investment group Istrabenz Gorenje, who among other things invests in new energies, wanted an environmentally friendly building that would also provide space for a kindergarten.
Precisely positioned in the urban context, the building with its clear cubic lines easily fits into the existing cluster of industrial and office buildings, and forms an architecturally sophisticated urban component for implementing the “Glattpark” idea.
