McIntosh Poris Associates worked with Aparium Hotel Group to repurpose the former Detroit Fire Department Headquarters and adjacent building, previously known as the Pontchartrain Wine Cellars, into the Detroit Foundation Hotel. Together, the two historically registered buildings will accommodate 100 hotel rooms, office/conference spaces, Detroit-focused retail, and a fitness center. The boutique hotel features a ground-level restaurant/lounge and a roof-top banquet space housed in a new addition. The $28-million project embraces a “Detroit State of Mind” to welcome both visitors and locals with an authentic sense of place.
The Maersk Tower is a state-of-the-art research building whose innovative architecture creates the optimum framework for world-class health research, making it a landmark in Copenhagen. It aims to contribute positively by linking the University of Copenhagen with the surrounding neighbourhoods and wider city.
The Tower is an extension of Panum, the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and contains both research and teaching facilities, as well as a conference centre with auditoriums and meeting rooms, connected to the latest technology. With its easily identifiable and dynamically curved shape, the 15 storey research tower stands as a sculptural linchpin for the University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, whilst equally forming a visible link between the city and the North Campus.

The new building of the first construction phase of the new town hall in Freiburg im Breisgau with its administration center and day nursery is the world’s first public building built to the net-surplusenergy standard and accommodates the 840 employees of the City Administration under one roof after they had previously been spread over 16 different sites throughout the city.
RUST Architects in collaboration with Greentectura designed the Iron Source new head office in Sarona Tower in central Tel Aviv. The four floors, with a total area of 10,000 square meters, accommodate hundreds of employees in various departments.
Offices of various sizes have been positioned around the exterior of the space while public functions form around the core of the building which at points “invade and cling” to the façade to bring direct natural light to them and break the sequence of the offices.
On Niels Brocks Gade 1 in Copenhagen stands a building that has drawn the attention of admiring gazes for generations. The magnificent original building was designed in 1903 for an insurance company, and was later home to the Royal Danish Academy of Music. After the building had been vacant for an extended period, the Nobis Hotel Copenhagen has now moved in.
The fortress Franzensfeste was built between 1833 and 1838 and consists of three autonomous parts: the upper, the middle and the lower fortress. First, the lower part and then the upper part has been renovated. In 2014/15 the building body C with the Infopoint BBT has been converted and expanded. This had been severely destroyed in the 1970s by the transfer of the state road.

Dipoli, the listed iconic and experimental student union building of Helsinki University of Technology designed by Raili and Reima Pietilä and completed in 1966 has gone through a complete renovation and gotten a new life as the main building of Aalto University. The building reopened for fall semester 2017.
