The architect, Henri Chauvet, designed a unique building in 1986 to fit the cinema “Le Scarron” and the theatre “Les Sources”. Our analysis of the current building showed that the public and the pedestrians don’t notice these facilities mainly due to the architecture.
Commissioned by the provincial KwaZulu-Natal government as its business entity, the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone is a world class, fully serviced industrial estate located on the north-eastern coast of South Africa. The Industrial estate is a special economic zone set up to attract export orientated investment. This estate is ideally located, boosting prime rail and road access; it is also linked to the deep water port of Richards Bay. The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone is envisioned to be a trade portal to the world.
DELVA Landscape Architects / Urbanism presents the plan for ‘The Green Entrance’ of The Hague, as part of the program ‘City Entrances’. The plan covers a unique area with ‘Koningin Julianaplein’, the historic ‘Koekamp’, the ‘Malieveld’ and the ‘Haagse Bos’ and multiple formal rows of trees. Through an integral approach between landscape design, cultural heritage, mobility, programming and technology, the result is a truly unique design of ‘The Green Entrance’ with a self-explanatory The Hague identity.
