Hugh Broughton Architects has completed a new gallery on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire.
The new gallery, which officially opens to the public on 20 March 2016, will show changing displays of the historic Portland Collection, one of the finest accumulations of paintings, sculpture, books, tapestries and furniture in private hands in Britain. The collection includes Michelangelo’s rarely seen Madonna del Silenzio (c.1538) and the pearl earring worn by Charles I at his execution in 1649 – and many of the works have not been on public display until now.
The Michal and Avraham Kadar Media Lab was designed by Geotectura for Shenkar College within an 90 years old building. The project has many labs and workshops as part of a retrofit and add-ons design but the main element is a floating steel and glass structure within the existing fabric. The project includes a center for interaction design and technology, a computer gaming lab, plastic workshop and 3D printing lab.
Designed as a permanent show gallery & tourist information center for China’s largest developer Vanke, MOD’s dramatic design for the TRIPLE V GALLERY has become an icon along the Dong Jiang Bay coastline in Tianjin China. The client’s program called for 3 main spaces: a tourist information center, a show gallery & a lounge for sales discussion. Requiring their own entrances, the tourist center and the show gallery had to be orientated towards separate existing pedestrian pathways and also operated independently.

The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Bethany is one of Connecticut’s best-kept secrets. Nestled in the woods, it’s a magnet for pilgrims of the Bauhaus keen to learn more about the German émigrés who were among the school’s most inspiring teachers. Featuring paintings, furniture and textiles produced by the pair throughout their long careers, the foundation has now put on permanent display never-seen-before furniture and textiles, accumulated over the past 40 years.
Designed and built over just three months, the “Bar-Pool-Gallery” was planned for the Casa Cor MG 2014 as a kind of a hilltop belvedere. The site is located in the central area of a private weekend retreat development, a series of bungalows with hotel infrastructure scattered on a sloping mountain overlooking the stunning valleys of Nova Lima, 12 km away from the city of Belo Horizonte.

Located on Rua Miguel Bombarda, one of the emblematic streets of Porto where art, culture and history live side by side with the locals and those visiting the many galleries that are open to the public.
MONO is lifestyle retail, gallery, and events space concept located in the heart of Budapest, Hungary. My task was to raise attention for the store’s summer sales. I designed an aquarium from the store’s huge glass windows that now hang out on the street.
