Brett Farrow Architect has designed the new headquarters for C3 Bancorp in the Southern California coastal community of Encinitas.
The locally owned bank was designed as a combination retail branch, corporate offices and semi-civic space. Facing directly onto Coast Highway 101, the building uses custom white concrete to echo the nearby coastal bluffs while large operable glass areas create a transparent connection between the interior work spaces and lushly planted courtyards and atrium.
Marine grade stainless steel cladding was custom tinted and combined with western red cedar at the ceilings and eaves.
Premier New Zealand car dealership The Giltrap Group needed their new 119 Great North Road, Auckland Headquarters to balance beauty and function – to balance their position at the “forefront of the end-to-end car sales experience” while showcasing their investment in “enhanced engineering and innovation through better design”. Their proposed mixed-use space needed to hero Bentley, Lamborghini and Aston Martin’s ‘star-cars’ in a full-service corporate, warehouse, servicing and showroom build not yet seen in the New Zealand automotive industry. Nine levels needed to connect in one luxurious, customer-focused and highly-functional build.

The page-like structure made by pure white waved steel plates creates rhythmically changing curves in the sunlight. Just like the prelude in a piece of music, it invites the audience to hear more about its mysterious story.

The Schlumberger Research Center Administration Building was Philip Johnson’s first non-residential building, designed in 1951 and completed in 1952. EligoStudio has been commissioned to design the site headquarter: a 3 stories building entirely crafted by shipping containers. They’ve been assembled and disassembled in Italy to face the overseas shipping. Spaces and finishing keep the soul of the singular unit: a rough industrial container. The furniture was provided by the Italian company Fantin, specialized in the production of furniture and solutions in metal.
Opening of the new Zalando Headquarters in Berlin “We want a house that we can occupy” – that was the competition briefing given to HENN for the new Zalando Headquarters in Berlin in 2015. It is more than simply a new office space for 2,500 staff members belonging to Europe’s leading online fashion platform. Rather, a space that embodies the spirit of the original start-up, that is flexible, dynamic and unites the company’s divisions which were previously scattered across the city, under one roof.
The core of the main building is the central atrium, which shifts its openings along its vertical ascension, thus drawing daylight to the public areas below. The central lobby is flanked by a grand staircase with integrated seating and lounge areas which can also be used for events. The atrium in combination with the adjacent auditorium, create a spatial continuum that extends over numerous floors, thus enhancing the users flexibility.
The history of Sordo Madaleno encompasses over eight decades of architecture and design. Having been based at Reforma 2076 in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood since the 1980s, the steady growth in the size of the teams both at the architecture studio (SMA) and the real estate development firm (GSM) made it necessary to design and build a new headquarters.
Strategically located at one of the most important economic and cultural hubs of Mexico City (Nuevo Polanco), the new HQ was designed by our own Interior Design department, taking the corporate design to a more challenging level for being our own client.
Floors three to five of the Antara II Corporate Offices—itself designed by SMA—are home to the strategically distributed offices of both parts of Sordo Madaleno.

Situated at the central area of East Tai Lake Ecological Park in Wujiang District, Suzhou, China, it enjoys favorable site conditions and beautiful landscape. The design focuses on the integration with the surrounding environment, inherits CTF's mission of serving disadvantaged communities with love and passing on the spirit of giving, and produces a “dissolved” and green building.
