The complexity of the site called first of all for a detailed constructability review. All constraints were modelled on the current PLU (plan local d’urbanisme – local urban development plan) – building heights, street alignments, distances from buildings on neighbouring plots – in order to obtain the greatest possible constructible volume. From this potential form, an initial model was developed, enabling us to define the various design options possible under the current regulations, as well as possible adaptations that could be envisaged in the event of the PLU being revised.
Whilst many workplaces host mundane, boxed offices and an enclosed atmosphere, Time Realty desired an open, inclusive office space that inspired their employees. Enter Projects knew they could make this dream a reality.
An open air plan with fluid dynamics and meandering geometrics defines the space, furniture, material and lighting of Time Realty’s newly designed office. The result contrasts greatly with the existing patina walls, with both elements working together to create a vibrant visual experience. Lastly, the installation of gallery areas in the office brings both context and dynamic architecture to the space.

The brief for the 135,000sqft Gores Group Headquarters was not altogether uncommon: renovate an existing three-story office building and adjacent parking structure. But our team saw opportunities; we questioned the design potential of a standard glass façade typical of the typology and, with only one or two key moves, transformed the profile of the building and fundamentally changed the way employees at this legal services firm interact with one another and their surroundings.
This headquarters building is designed to be a gateway to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park in Zhuhai, China, with leasable offices, an exhibition centre, a service centre, meeting venues and commercial amenities.
