Beaumarchais Apartment Renovation in Montreuil, France by miogui

Friday, February 17th, 2023

Article source: miogui

Project Beaumarchais takes place in a little alley, calm and vegetal, sheltered from the noisy neighborhood.

The former commercial unit has to be transformed into a loft. The existing space is defined by its structure, metallic ceiling and beams, cinder blocks on the walls, by its 3.85m under the ceiling and by its depth, with only one facade towards the exterior to bring light in.

FURROW in Tbilisi, Georgia by STIPFOLD

Thursday, February 9th, 2023

Article source: STIPFOLD

A minimalist design concept was chosen for this interior design project, with a focus on a monochromatic color palette and a limited range of textures. Calacatta marble was the dominant material used, with other materials chosen to complement its tones. In the common room, a natural stone wall with vertical linear carving serves to highlight the organic character of the material.

The common room is bordered on two sides by stained glass windows and offers a view of Vake Park. Within the monochromatic interior, the rays of the sun entering at different times add a distinct atmosphere to the space. To provide protection from the sun’s glare, gray blinds have been installed.

Penthouse Barcelona in Spain by NOMO STUDIO

Wednesday, February 8th, 2023

Article source: NOMO STUDIO

Largely untouched since it’s construction in the 1970s, a complete redistribution of this Barcelona penthouse was undertaken in order to adapt to a contemporary open plan lifestyle. The project’s design responds to a modernized approach to an overall classic building and the will to preserve its inherited elegance, altogether aligned to the clients’ preferences. Superfluous partitions were removed, connecting all day areas into a large fluid space thus avoiding corridors. Special attention was given to the custom designed pivot elements that organize the open plan into different settings. A granite high bar countertop, three extra-large marble center tables and a hovering fireplace create a sequence of interrelated atmospheres. Each of them was conceived as a strong monolithic element that calls for a spontaneous floating circulation around it. In this way, the former fireplace was detached from the wall becoming a singular free-standing piece.

Agli Amici 1887 new entrance in Udine, Italy by Visual Display S.r.l.

Monday, February 6th, 2023

Article source: Visual Display S.r.l.

A room overlooking the town square, that’s totally redesigned by the creative studio Visual Display [interior, identity, stories] to transform the previous tavern into the new entrance of the 2 Michelin stars restaurant “Agli Amici 1887” in Udine.

The space turns into a place to enjoy a welcome aperitif, fully becoming part of the proposed gastronomic experience, indeed anticipating it. The concept was therefore born with the idea of making this space – which is in fact the customer’s first approach to the kitchen and the philosophy of chef Emanuele Scarello – a place suspended in time, silent, surprising, and representative of the very essence of the restaurant.

Three elements the rectangle, the circle, and the triangle creates a sculptural composition in a two-floor apartment. 120 square meters are divided into two floors. The first floor is the main area, with the master bedroom, while the second floor has two separate children’s rooms. A dark-toned rectangle shape separates the entrance and wet areas from the cozy, wood-floored areas of the apartment. The main bathroom has a romantic bathtub situated just under the roof window, while other areas (WC and shower) are hidden in two separate dark zones.
