Dr. Bravura Bird's Nest Drink & Dessert Store in Shanghai, China by TOWOdesign

Tuesday, June 4th, 2019

Article source: TOWOdesign

A variety of works of nature feature hexagons and curves, behind which is the subtle arrangement of molecules. The studio Towodesign recently completed a bird's nest drink and dessert shop for Dr. Bravura. Based on the brand's concept of “Research and Development for Health”, Towodesign applied regular hexagons, commonly seen in chemical formulas, to the storefront logo, the floor, walls and display stands. These hexagons, are combined with elements derived from measuring vessels used in laboratories, together creating a unique space that integrates functionality and aesthetics.

Dermatological Laboratory at Brabois (54) in France by studiolada

Thursday, May 9th, 2019

Article source: studiolada

The building is implanted on one of the last plots of the Brabois technopole, in Nancy's suburbs. This typical 80s business park is exceptional in the sense that it is located in the middle of a forest of deciduous trees, through which runs the A330 motorway. The plot is located very close to the road, which is the source of important noise disturbance and contrasts with the normally calm forest of the Champelle.

The program consists in creating administrative and technical headquarters, including R&D laboratories, for a dermatological product company.

BioEngineering Center in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico by Studio de Arquitectura y Ciudad

Friday, April 26th, 2019

Article source: Studio de Arquitectura y Ciudad

The project is an extension to the teaching infrastructure for the BioEngineering Department. Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Queretaro campus was initially organized in a more or less recognizable Cartesian mesh in its first built volumes, arbitrarily rotated 41 degrees from the north. Given the absence of order and intention in the infrastructure that was built in the last 20 years, Sasaki Design was invited to develop a new master plan. Sasaki’s attempt aims to give order and meaning to the campus, as the current set lacks meaning and identity. The plan defines two axes in a Roman way that originate in a new “heart” from which everything would start. The project is located at the east end of one of these two guiding axes. This implies a certain hierarchy without becoming the most important building. The new Laboratories seek at their site to generate three types of new public spaces with different qualities among them: two exterior piazzas, a portico and an interior garden.
