The New Sulaibikhat Clinic building stands as a pioneer in the healthcare sector, where challenging issues such as privacy and security are addressed using a new model, where courtyards attached to the façade are the driving element behind this unique typology.
The medical centre is constructed in a trapezoid-shaped plot and has an extension of3.300 square meters. The intervention proposed to locate the building next to the west limit of the site forming a large outdoor area in front of it. In this way, this open space was transform in 2.400 square meters of public park.

The building defining a friendly co-existence between small scale private housing and large healthcare institutions in the park. The new collage building is located in between two dormitories to maintain the buffer zone between private houses and large buildings.
The everyday experience of the users is critically important for the hospital typology. Our proposal for a Jinzhou New Area Medical Center is located as closest as possible to the existing wing of the hospital in order to shorten the routes and form one integrated complex with that existing wing.

The intention of the design was to put more emphasis on the product rather than the booth itself yet making the booth attractive to draw more clients. Having clean straight lines while inserting a curve form made it simple yet interesting, thus achieving the design intent.
Light, bright and colorful: the architecture of the new Surgical Center on the Oberer Eselsberg in Ulm. The building was designed by the KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten Munich Office, having won the competition in 2001. The Surgical Center / Dermatology blends into the surrounding landscape and, with the “floating” ward block, also sets a distinctive architectural tone.
In June 2012 the six departments of Ulm University Hospital moved into the new Surgery / Dermatology building with their patients. The medical institutions, previously scattered over various sites, are now brought together in the new hospital building which will further improve medical care in the Ulm region. The Surgical Center provides sufficient space for 15 state-of-the-art operating rooms, 235 regular care and 80 intensive care or monitored beds. The building, which offers gross floor space of around 70,000 sq.m., was completed in four years within the scheduled timeframe and budget.
Our project engages in an equilibrium (and disequilibrium) between the full and the empty, in other words between interior and exterior spaces, approaching both as materials.
There are six internal courtyards situated within the four unit complex: two large communal gardens of 350m², with four others interior to each unit, which light the way of the paths toward the rooms. The large open garden, accessible to all, is located in the eastern part of the grounds.
