FOX Roma in Rome, Italy by Degw Italia

Sunday, March 24th, 2019

Article source: Degw Italia

Technological factory in a historical setting

An industrial mood in a late 19th-century building: we are talking about the new Fox headquarters in Rome, which has moved from its old premises in via Salaria (where Sky is also located) to new offices in downtown Piazza San Silvestro (in the same location that will also accommodate Apple).

Fox takes up the third floor of the building: 3500 m² for 200 people entirely designed by DEGW, the Lombardini22 Group’s brand devoted to the integrated design of workplaces: everything from the original consultancy phase to the stacking plan, including new concepts for using space (also for management) and with the introduction of ancillary areas custom-designed for miscellaneous work purposes.

Fyber Office Design in Israel by Samuelov Studio

Tuesday, March 19th, 2019

Article source: Samuelov Studio

Living by our “user experience design” motto, we be naturally kicked off the design of the new FYBER offices in Israel, by first getting in touch with our actual users, forming a focus group with 15 company employees. This allowed us to tap into the culture, vibe and mindset of the company, and translate that into a clearly defined, user-driven office design strategy. In this way, we were able to create the ideal working environment for Fyber, capturing both the brand spirit, and the hearts of those who work in it.

ArchiWorkshop Foundation in Seoul, South Korea

Monday, March 18th, 2019

Article source: ArchiWorkshop

The ArchiWorkshop foundation building was built on Yeonhui-ro, which is parallel to Ansan in Seoul. Most of the area is made up of type-1 residential districts, making it a quiet and comfortable residential area. With the recent acceleration in development of the Yeonnam-dong area, movements are also taking place in Yeonhui-dong is to reflect neighborhood-like atmospheres. Places made of neighborhood shops, rather than franchises, such as handicraft shops, craft coffee shops, craft beer shops, and Saruga markets (a local market brand) are creating Yeonhui-dong’s culture of high quality and originality. Here, where such pleasant routines take place, we decided to open the new life of ArchiWorkshop. ArchiWorkshop was founded in 2013 in a corner place of Bangbae-dong. It was a space of about 15 pyeong (approx. 49.6m2) located on the first floor, with three open sides. This was an attempt to openly show the studio of an architect. The ArchiWorkshop, located in Yeonhui-dong, is a space where the architects create everyday architecture. It is also a shared space where diverse cultural activities take place. Here, classical concerts are held regularly four times a year, and architectural works by ArchiWorkshop are displayed for the public.

Prajay Chit Funds Office in Telangana, India by Design experiment

Monday, March 11th, 2019

Article source: Design experiment

Intention and identity were the two challenges presented to design experiment When asked to renovate an old building for a chit funds office. The intention of the company was clear, to instill confidence in the chit funds offices’ potential customers. The chit funds industry has been fraught with scandals, from owners shutting shop abruptly, to refusing to pay up to its customers, so the architects came up with a novel way to propagate trust amongst its patrons. A simple design intervention in terms of installing a large continuous scrolling LED strip, broadcasting how much the company paid out to its customers that week. The designers felt that, by increasing such evident transparency, it would be possible to earn the trust of its patrons.
