This project is located on one of Chicxulub Puerto’s most traditional summer beaches of the Yucatan coast, 40 minutes north of the city of Merida, on a plot of 4,300 square feet with a frontage of 3 feet and 130 feet deep, and a clear view to the beach.
The house is located on a small atypical plot on the corner of the intersection of two streets – Kaštieľska, a rather busy street, and Kľukatá street, which is adjacent to the local cemetery. From one side, the house emerges from an area of family houses and from the other side it is surrounded by apartment buildings.
“House was designed as two blocks : lower, flat base and high module with two-side roof. Whole building is 10 meters wide and extended into the plot. Taking that into account house will fit into 18meters piece of land with area not lower than 640-650m2.
A home for a couple and child stands on a lot 3.7 meters wide and 17 meters deep. Planning of the home focused on how to develop a pleasant layout with sufficient perspective for this slim lot. The lots to the left and right were also for sale and of similar breadth and depth. The plan assumed that spacing between the houses would be tight. Morover, the site is on a grade that rises by over 2 meters from the street facing. The ground floor where the entrance is located gradually submerges underground toward the back, where no inlets are possible.
This is written account of the third private dwelling bij JagerJanssen architects. It concerns the ‘dream-house’ in Blauwestad [Groningen], the Netherlands for Dijk family.
The project is situated in a little village, above Sterzing, on a height of 1.400m above sea-level. Out of a farmhouse with an old oven (made of stone) which were both fit for demolition, a new holiday residence of the Brunner family should arise. Together with the historical chapel an ensemble on the mountain should come into existence. It was important for us to integrate a place to live, a sauna, a garage and a henhouse into the landscape. All new buildings were inserted into the landscape without changing the topography. Design tools were the found, the discovered – the landscape as well as the remains of the old farmhouse like the stone wall and the traditional materials as for example the shingles from the chapel.
The site is located within the urbanization controlled area on the boundary of residential area and farmland. The client was only allowed to build due to his vested rights of the land.
Located at the end of Rue Georges Clemenceau, at the entrance to the university grounds, the plot of land offered the advantage of a three-way view, including one on the park. The clients of the Avenier Cornejo architecture firm were friends of friends. The project developed in a relaxed atmosphere where the architects were allowed a great deal of freedom. The family was open to any proposal for their new home as long as it offered plenty of light, a quality which had been lacking in their previous residence.
A residential private house for preservation that has been re-designed and planed anew in the old city of Safed. The web of crowded housing of old stone buildings in the old quarter of Safed is a complex context dictating a dialogue between the old and the new, between preservation and renewal and between the traditional and the trendy.
The building project is located on the border of the “Valley of Giaroni” that lies under the road of Ramestòn in the municipality of Marostica, north-eastern Italy. The concept is designed to achieve a low environmental impact by being recessed, semi-underground and close to the hill. The design theme is “Masiera”, a typical local drywall reinterpreted to give life to the livable wall concept.
