Let’s be honest clients who are ready for such decisions and can afford them do not come to the door of our studio every day. Actually, much like any other studio.
These clients expressed their wishes very clearly: to get a modern and minimalist house that will be a new stage of life for their family after the reserved classics. And they left us to do our job without interfering in the creative process at all. That’s how twins were born.
A Tel Aviv loft apartment located in the iconic Zamenhof Clinic building, whose unfussy Bauhaus style has been preserved in the building’s 21st century transformation into a luxurious residential complex.
This shoreline home is a 2800 square foot, 2-bedroom Pacific Northwest-style house anchored into a steep-sloped site. There is an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area that opens directly to the outdoors with a corner bi-fold door system. A stone mass wall divides the public and private spaces of the house while enclosing the stairs, support areas, and powder room. There are many nature-inspired elements in this home such as pendant light fixtures in the kitchen that are reminiscent of shells and wood-grained tile in the master bath.
A new two-storey addition with significant alteration works were undertaken on an existing cream brick house in Rosanna.
The new additions take advantage of the sloped site by creating additional bedroom and living areas within a series of stepped cubed forms. The configuration of these intersecting forms and openings help encourage cross-flow ventilation throughout the home.
The House E+N was designed for a couple of retired southern Brazilian (gaúchos), who dreamed of leaving an apartment, to live in a house with garden with enough space to make a vegetable plot.
The design is basically a white parallelepiped of 12×14,5m that opens organically creating spaces between interior and exterior, through patios, terraces, connections, and the open garage. This white element is placed on a sloping terrain, with a black wall that contacts the slope.
The clients an artist and an attorney asked for a “very sustainable yet super-modern” house for their blended family, which is generously populated with children and beloved dogs. And they wanted the type of house that Arielle Condoret Schechter is known for: modern, Net Zero, Passive house-rated with clean lines and clear volumes and open, uncluttered interior spaces filled with sunlight, panoramic views, and easy access to the outdoors.

In this project of single-family homes in Getafe (Madrid) we have applied a concept that arises from the phenomenon of -Jameos del agua-; a natural space and an art, cultural and tourism center devised by César Manrique. Located in the north of the island of Lanzarote, it is also considered an area of ecological sensitivity. For this reason, we want to achieve a unique space from the place where the project is located. This concept has inspired a promotion of 20 single-family homes, within the neighborhood of -El Bercial-, in the municipality of Getafe.
This was the initial phrase in the interview with the owners of the property, a pair of preexisting galleries, the first one with a shed covered in soot, barely noticeable the color of the clay roof tiles, and the second one covered with metal sheets was almost unable to sustain. The remain land was full of undergrowth and three trees we knew from the beginning that were going to play an important part for the distribution of the project.
Jason and Michael had searched five years across four states to find a site for their weekend home that spoke to them. This retreat was to be everything that their Chicago residence – a lofted space nestled within the attic trusses of a converted church – was not. The loft is in the heart of the bustling Wicker Park neighborhood; they sought serenity and a slower pace. The loft features a highly curated collection of sleek European contemporary furnishings; they were inspired by the idea of a sanctuary with a modern sensibility but also rooted in its place with hand craftsmanship felt on scales big and small. The loft’s views of the downtown skyline are finely calibrated to maintain a sense of privacy in the dense neighborhood; they sought an abundance of transparency and a direct connection to nature.
FG house, designed for a young family, is located in the southern part of Borgo Valsugana municipality, on a private slightly sunken ground. This area, used for playing and relaxing by three families related by blood, is green and well taken care of. From this area one can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains (Cima XII; mount Ortega), moreover the sun light is ideal, especially in spring and winter, thanks to the good position of the peaks and of the surrounding buildings. From here you can also catch sight of Castel Telvana.
