Overseeing Oryuk Island and the newly established Marina, the site is located on a spectacular seashore cliff. The objective of this limited invited design competition is to create a next generation resort-style luxury condominium and a boutique hotel complex which capitalize the ‘amazing view experience’ and provide a ‘maximum privacy’. By taking advantage of the site condition, we have actively adopted ‘terrace’ concept throughout the site; by locating terraced residences on a cliff edge, the residents are able to experience an ‘undisturbed’ view of the sea as well as ‘open’ residential park in between the villa towers and terrace housing. We have isolated a single detached villa zone into a ‘gated-community’; thus provide an increased ‘security’ for the residents. Single detached units are ‘Villa Bar-view’ (Entertainment House) and ‘chateau W-Peaks’ (two generation, two entry house). Cluster Housing is comprised of two types: ‘House of Hanging Garden’ (Terrace House) and ‘Casa Cristallo’ (Crystal Cube Tower Housing).
Here, where desert sand meets desert stone, we see a singular opportunity to devise a new contract between man and nature. Reinterpreting the way we have dealt with the earth, our proposal establishes a new benchmark for design, quality and sustainability in the natural environment.

The project client is Bond Hospitality Development & site works & excavation has already commenced.
The project is for a new 28 room exclusive boutique hotel. It is designed to be very private with luxury amenities including fire pits & infinity edge plunge pools to every guest room.
From its inception, Saffire was imagined as an iconic project to redefine tourism in Tasmania.
The location, when we inherited it, was scarred from its previous use as a disused caravan park so the project became as much about repairing the site and interpreting its unique qualities as it was about creating a space from which it could be experienced. With this in mind, we shaped the main building as the end point in a journey, in which views of the Hazards are shielded and revealed and finally presented as a destination which is a panoramic overview of Great Oyster Bay.

The name of the latest product in Grupo Vidanta’s resort portfolio says it all: The Grand Bliss. The challenge presented to architecture firm AHA Universo was to create a place where bliss could happen naturally; where guests could reconnect with a simpler, more natural state of mind, while feeling indulged and pampered. The design, therefore, was created with happiness in mind.
The brief obtained by AHA Universo regarding the new premier resort for Grupo Vidanta was to embody luxury in every aspect of the project, and so they did. Set in a privileged location, at the center of Bahía de Banderas, the Grand Luxxe has an unmatched view of the entire Bay, with Puerto Vallarta to the South and Punta Mita to the North. The Ameca River flows into the Ocean just a few yards away, providing lush vegetation and a unique landscape.
