Yin Restaurant in Wuhu, China by BOUNDARY DESIGN STUDIO

There is a space advantage for Yin restaurant who own a terrace for flexible design, so we tried to build a connection and interaction between interior space and roof garden at the beginning of space plan, quite a few scenery highlights are also applied to improve their fusion degree.

A exclusive lift will filter exterior noises and bring you into this peach garden. Just out of the lift car, your eye sight will run into the corridor and reception area, which are naturally divided by day lighting penetrating from the roof grating, they play a light and shadow shift along season changes and cast a dramatic effect on the dark but plain floor.

Zeppelin Station in Denver, Colorado by Dynia Architects

Zeppelin Station, located next to the new rail station at 38th and Blake Street, is a transit-oriented development designed around a ground-floor market and retail hall with office space above. With transit, hotels, restaurants, and concert venuesall within walking distance, Zeppelin Station servesas a social destination for the rapidly evolving River North (RiNO) neighborhood.

Hotel & Spa Seezeitlodge in Nohfelden, Germany by GRAFT

The Hotel Bostalsee occupies an advantageous position in its natural surroundings, overlooking a serene lake from a wooded promontory. GRAFT’s design aims to build on and enrich the character of the location.

The building figure is a product of the surrounding topography. The hotel connects the realm of the wood with the expanse of the lake, mediating between the land and the water.

Guests arrive at the hotel through oak woodland, barely seeing the lake. The path to the hotel leads on towards two green hills on which the main section of the two-storey hotel rests. The lobby is situated beneath it at the natural gap between the hills, revealing a breathtaking view over the lake as one enters. The lobby frames the sunset which in turn animates the space with the cycle of nature. An open-air terrace with fireplace offers guests an opportunity to enjoy the evening spectacle.

Tea Master in Hangzhou, China by kooo architects

The project we designed is a teahouse that specially provides non-pesticide tea, it located in Hangzhou, China. Hangzhou is one of the famous production areas of Long Jing tea. Those steep tea hills can be seen on the edge of the West Lake. In those tea hills, many pieces of terraces farming are scattered around the hills. Inspired by terrace fields, we though we can bring these great landscapes into this design program tea house.

Space Needle Renovation in Seattle by Olson Kundig

Originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair, the Space Needle has become an international icon of the Pacific Northwest and a symbol of Seattle. Constructed in just over a year, the Space Needle pointed the way toward the future with a sense of optimism and possibility. In its 55th year, the Space Needle is again looking to the future with the Century Project, a significant redesign that will preserve the Space Needle’s legacy by creating a new visitor experience for the next 50 years.

“The use and significance of history doesn’t garner much attention in contemporary architectural dialogue, but in the case of the Space Needle, it was a critical and constant baseline for our decisions. The challenge for us was to identify and edit the elements that obscured or limited the original design intent, which provided unencumbered and expansive views of the constantly changing city below. Family Food Court Hypermarket in Perm Krai, Russia by ALLARTSDESIGN

The bright and modern design of the existing food court of the Family hypermarket, for residents and visitors of Perm. A new concept for the dining area, an adapted colormap, formatting of the guest areas.

The food court family has long been familiar to the residents of Perm, an update was needed – to solve the problem, they invited the Russian design studio ALLARTSDESIGN, led by designer Artemy Saranin. It was a reconstruction, without closing the food court itself.

La chansonnière Restaurant in Beijing, China by GB Space

La chansonnière is a high-end French restaurant designed by GB SPACE, featuring new media immersive dining experience. This project is located on the first floor, block B, Jiuxianqiao language and cultural center, Chaoyang district, Beijing. The total area of the project is 305 square meters.

The design inspiration comes from the moment when the sense of taste is stimulated by delicious food as if the water ripples in the mouth, evoking the senses throughout the body, fully immersed in the French gourmet experience with a long and lingering aftertaste. Using water as the main design element, the designers choose white color to keep the whole space pure and clean, just like the white canvas set off a feast and create a sense of ritual for the dining experience.

Piur Restaurant in Valencia, Spain by Masquespacio

Masquespacio presents the last project they designed for Piur, a restaurant chain from Valencia specialized in pizzas.

The developed project starts with the previous investigation of Piur’s brand strategy and the values expressed by the client from which honesty, the use of a fresh product and a concept inspired by the Valencian origin of its founders can be highlighted. Another important fact transmitted by the client is that the visitors of Piur are persons that desire to have a moment of joy together with their family or friends.

Thereby, the design first of all seeks to find a concept that could connect with the Valencian origins of Piur’s founders and at the same time could work as an attraction point for the restaurant visitors.

Shubo in Lenovo Headquarters, Beijing, China by Imafuku Architects

Imafuku Architects was commissioned to design a new flagship store for Beijing’s emerging salad restaurant chain Shubo. The theme of their existing restaurants was sports, featuring sporting equipment such as surfboards, bicycles and bouldering walls as ornaments under the slogan of “Keep Calorie Low.” The concept for the flagship located within Lenovo headquarters was to create a new branded spatial language, while referring to the previous sports theme.

Qiyun Mountain Camp in Huangshan, China by LOT-EK

The Qiyun Mountain Camp is a large natural adventure and extreme sport park in China. It is located by the Qiyun Mountain, a beautiful natural and sacred site as the birthplace of Taoism and the yin and yang symbol. We designed all the public services within the pristine natural setting of the park. Shipping containers are cut on a bias to generate the base units of the various buildings. They are joined, mirrored, tilted and recombined to fit the several programs and to make up new typologies. Three different areas are carefully inserted in the landscape considering the varying topography and are color-coded to create detectible landmarks within the natural setting.
