The toilets were added in numbers, urinals and tubs. An accessible single toilet, with washroom for the outside balcony and cleaning support area was also added. The space received two dressing rooms with private bathrooms, industrial kitchen, administrative room, staff bathrooms, storage area and raised floors in the lounge of the 03 sofa areas and stage areas.
The existing ramp was demolished and redone with another shape and correct slope to meet accessibility requests by law.
MOLE Restaurant is originated from the mix of elements with different natures which, when gathered in the same space, relinquish their original state and find a new identity altogether, as though as we were talking about a good cooking recipe.
It is a space than interacts differently with each user, depending on their baggage of experiences or memories and on the affinity or familiarity that each one has with the elements contained within the space. There isn’t a unique way of living it or understanding it since the posibilites rely on the individual and thus are enjoyed around the table. It is rustic, but also feminine, it is complex, subtle, elegant and ephemeral but extremely eclectic in summary. It’s a bunch of living spaces interacting as a whole.
The scope of our design commission was broad yet clearly defined. The interior of Švyturys Brewery needed to include a bar, a beer shop, a tasting area, an exhibition space, a conference room, a concert stage, and more to become a place where people could socialize and learn about Lithuania’s proud beer brewing culture.

Located at Niederhafen on the Elbe River between St. Pauli Landungsbrücken and Baumwall in Hamburg, the upgraded 625m river promenade is integral to the modernisation and reinforcement of the city’s flood protection system.
In the aftermath of storm surge floods in February 1962 that caused 315 fatalities and destroyed the homes of 60,000 residents, between 1964 and 1968 Hamburg developed a barrier on the banks of the Elbe at Niederhafen to protect the city against floods up to a height of 7.20m above sea level.
Modern hydrology and computer simulations have since analysed and forecast the city’s flooding characteristics with greater accuracy; calculating that an increase in the barrier height of 0.80m was required to protect Hamburg from future winter storm surges and extreme high tides.
Inspections of Niederhafen’s existing flood barrier in 2006 determined that supporting elements of the existing structure were overburdened and its foundations needed significant reinforcement. At this time, the city of Hamburg organized a competition to design the redeveloped flood barrier and subsequently awarded the project to Zaha Hadid Architects.
Kento Gran Vía is the last project from the Spanish take away sushi chain, designed by Masquespacio.
For this last project that was inaugurated in March 2019 we continue with the aesthetic parameters in search for new forms of presenting the interiors from the Asian food chain, maintaining its brand image and with the aim to surprise its clients with every new opening. This time the main materials used have been tiles of a bigger format and wood in semicircular strips already used in the previous interior design for Kento. This way we wanted to continue to introduce a new material for each Kento, but maintaining others that remind clearly to the brand’s previous interiors. The much more minimalist design for this space, although creates a strong contrast with the metallic green and gold colors applied on the different furniture and lighting elements.
In conclusion, the last Kento opening presents another version of the brand specialized in sushi, staying faithful to the corporate identity, but always looking to surprise their clients.
