Geometrics by Gemelli Design

Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013

Article source: Gemelli Design

The basic concept of this space is based on the wishes of an artist: “I need Colors, Colors and Colors”. She believes that the colors can improve her life. The Colors in this little room affect both body and soul. They produce the body’s natural relaxation, but also encourage the imagination through the geometric color forms.

A Suspended Room in Gentilly, FRANCE by NeM Architectes

Friday, August 16th, 2013

Article source: NeM Architectes

Located as it is in Gentilly in the vicinity of Paris, on rue Raymond Lefebvre where rows of houses go almost uninterrupted, this little detached house stands out.

The interval separating it from the next building allows for a nice view on the Bièvre valley and its towers, providing a frontal framing for this fragmented cityscape, thus creating an unexpected confrontation in this quiet, almost rural suburban atmosphere.

Freedom Room by Comodo and Cibic Workshop

Article source: Comodo and Cibic Workshop

A brand new hospitality concept. A low cost, essential housing module, made and conceived in jail with inmates. A proposal, a product, an exhibition featuring an idea for temporary and social housing, spread hotels, hostels. Can design be a mean for social innovation? Can it provide answers to new emerging needs? In other words, can it be a freedom tool?

Freedom room is a project developed by Aldo Cibic, Tommaso Corà, Marco Tortoioli Ricci in collaboration with one of the Italian High Security Prisons, Spoleto’s correctional facility. Comodo – a cooperative- has started since 2003 its education activities in that prison, dedicated to inmates’ professional training in design, grapichs and publishing.

The Upper Room in Washington, DC by Studio Twenty Seven Architecture

Tuesday, April 9th, 2013

Article source: Studio Twenty Seven Architecture

Located in the upper room of an ambiguous row house along a typical street within the anonymous grid of a Washington DC neighborhood, the aspiration is a micro-expression of modern space and life as spectacle. The program takes a 650 square foot floor space and designs a master bedroom suite including bed area, closet, reading nook, and bathroom. To do this, all interior walls were removed to free this turn-of-the-century home’s compartmentalized space.

I tried to make the subject of design and consumer electronics goods, such as goods, even the day brought us various goods in the room by it.

Article source: FORMA Design, Inc.

When the client hired FORMA for the addition of a private V.I.P. dining room for Paolo’s Restaurant in Reston, the mandate was to the point – ”I want a sexy room”. The challenge was wrapping a catering kitchen, bar, access to the existing kitchen and seating a maximum number of guests around the new space and making it all work.

The explosion of colors makes the residents really happier and more creative.

There is room for two little children- a girl and a boy.

The green color in the entrance has a form of an Avant-garde tree which says “Welcome” to you when you are coming home after your busy and stress day.
