It is a plan of the hair salon in Moriyama-shi, Shiga.
We considered the possibility of the hair salon to a town at the Moriyama-city which is a suburban city.
We design not unusual hair salon which is often located in urban areas, but local adhesion type hair salon into which neighboring people go in spite of themselves and was homely and open to town.
This is the salon and the showroom by Maruwakaya – the company which produces “monozukuri” (which means a craftsmanship or art of design and manufacturing) that links traditional crafts to Contemporary art.
The counter made from Japanese cedar is employed as the center of the room; also, we designed the room by applying only the lintels, the sills, and the pillars.
In addition to bouillabasse and aioli, the seaside city of Marseille is now home to a new gem – a cleverly designed hair salon called Le Coiffeur. Conceived for local stylist and salon owner Pascal Lancien by Fabrica alumnus Margaux Keller, a Marseille native herself, the elegant space puts an inviting new spin on the conventional format of a hair dressing studio.
Located on a long, thin lot surrounded by rice fields, this combined residence and dog salon has a symbolic shape that turns the building itself into a sign for the business. The dog salon occupies the part of the building adjacent to the main road, with bathrooms and kitchen in the center so as to be easily accessed from both the shop and the residence, while the familyfs relaxation space ? the living and dining room ? is located further towards the back.
We designed a beauty salon named ARKHE (refers to the ancient belief that water is the source of all creation) around the theme of water.
This is a space made up by the charm of its raw materials, thus, by using aluminum and bringing out the beauty of the material we bring into existence a space filled with transient and ever-changing light, like the reflection of light on the surface of water.
Recycled aluminum sheet was used to express the flow of water and hair, reflecting the airily soft light, like sparkling light on water’s surface, and filling the space with elegant and sensual curves.
If there is a form of the ideal to the shop, it may be to blend naturally as part of the town. It is that, rather than the sign-lit brilliantly, to continue to be as existence is connected to the people indeed. This is a renovation of the beauty salon during the ten years have passed since the time along with the town from opening. There was a figure of the shop owner exchanging greetings friends with people of the town who went through the shop front.
This Project is a renovation for a SPA, Kaatsu and beauty salon located in the center of Nagoya, Japan. We insert the space to provide drinks being always aware of health and beauty, such as fruit and organic vegetables. We have created counter of 4.2m length in the limited entrance’s space, have secured the minimum flow line for increasing the number of customers standing, have created facade / petit architecture composed with curved surface, while repeating unevenness, so that the counter arranged obliquely may be made to fit the ergonomics of human body.
