The land on which the School sits is in a new area of strategic growth in the city, in an area with public educational and cultural infrastructures: a library, high school and sports facility.
The project arises from a unique comprehensive idea for dealing with the entire block by creating a new topography to act as a reference point in this expanding zone of Torre Pacheco; a new urban, cultural and leisure area for residents, where the public space – characterized by the folding terrain and the integration of diverse uses – contains and protects the buildings.
The project is located on a site with a special feature; it is 25 meters wide and 100 meters deep, which allows us to develop a 4-storey building occupying almost the entire ground surface. This gives the project a protagonist scale in the neighborhood.
The strategy to not “keep” the dimensions of the property (pre-existing length and width), was to organize the program of the school within a large regular volume, based on a double bay corridor, alternating classrooms and playgrounds in different levels and on both sides of the central circulation. This allowed us to open cross perspectives on the site, with views of the mountains and the sunset.

The overall restructuring of Albert Einstein High School, ends with the completion of the last building renovation developed by the architect agency NB (Elodie Nourrigat & Jacques Brion) associated with François Privat architects. The High School Albert Einstein, Brassens site, is a vast building of the 60’s. Built following a strict and repetitive pattern, it is composed of large linear buildings from 60 to 80 m length and large metallic workshops surrounded by large dilated and unattractive space. Site’s analysis shows several functional gaps. Today it is important to change establishment’s image by the way of idea and contemporary vision.
Crystal chandeliers, colorful caves and a library that opens like a treasure chest. Rosan Bosch Studio has transformed common areas at the Swedish school Vittra Södermalm into inspiring learning environments that break down the boundary between education and leisure.
Vittra Södermalm has 350 students and is located in a historic building in central Stockholm. The new design strives to support the school’s pedagogical methods and gives teachers and students the opportunity to work in different settings depending on the learning situation.
As soon as you step into Hellerup School, you notice its very special atmosphere. Just inside the entrance lie lots of shoes – because both students and teachers change into indoor shoes when they arrive. This means that students can romp about on the floor for both play and learning.
The floor areas are not merely flat surfaces, but a modelled landscape with staircases, plateaux, balconies and bridges, where the children can sit, jump about, stand, move around.
The streetscape shows a school building that takes up two building lots. This is reflected in the dual building design of the facade. The elongated windows accentuate the vertical rhythm of the street. The building integrates easily into the formal vocabulary of its surroundings.
The building of Music and Art school comprises two schools working separately until now. The classrooms are placed on perimeter, while practicing halls and libraries in the middle of the building. Light courtyards are the result of the compact plan, providing a lot of daylight and
reflected light in the middle of the school, and at the same time being the space for both schools to interact. Green colour in interior marks the Music school, while the blue is for the Art school.
The youth of Amsterdam are getting smarter and the growing waiting list for highly gifted students has generated the immediate need for a new temporary high school. The commission was to provide an architectural modular design and building system strategy for a temporary school building in the prominent location in the Overhoeks area in Amsterdam North. The temporary building was part of the school’s first step towards an expansion plan from 75 students to approximately 650 over a 5-year time span.
Masquespacio present their last project done in a central area from Valencia, Spain. The studio specialized in interior design and communication created in this case the interior and the identity of 2Day Languages, a new Spanish school in Valencia.
This project in first case is based on the identity of 2Day Languages represented by a flag that is fused with a text bubble including the three fundamental characteristics of language learning: the levels, the goal and the conversation. By the other hand it integrates the historic values from the city of Valencia that mixes modern and old architecture.
