A European Tower in Aubervilliers, France by Gaëtan Le Penhuel & Associés Architectes

Thursday, December 20th, 2018

Article source: Gaëtan Le Penhuel & Associés Architectes

Made to measure by Sophie Trelcat

With their overlapping of black and white, the two slender volumes of this apartment block make no secret of their presence in Aubervillier’s Fort neighbourhood. The project proudly marks the first step in the Arc Express urban regeneration operation and its linking of Paris’s “inner ring” suburbs by automated underground railway. The construction of these 57 apartments has also enabled the reorganisation of a bustling intersection, with pedestrians going to and from the Fort d’Aubervilliers metro station and heavy traffic on the RN2 highway. A generously proportioned, south-facing square provides a quality urban setting for sunny café terraces and the shops that will soon be opening at street level.

Article source: Yebin Interior Design

In 2017, the legendary French boutique Colette permanently closed. The Shanghai store of Triple-Major also declared closing. The shutting down of these two boutique leaders brought surprises to the entire business; yet many other boutique stores in China continued flourishing, as more than a thousand have now appeared—therefore, a clear commercial proposition, a unique understanding to pop culture, and a deep evaluation of humanity have become crucial rules in order to stand out from this rave of multi-brand boutique stores.

As a multi-brand boutique that brings together hot seasonal items from trendy brands and fashion weeks all over t……..he world, CHOCLAB collaborates with YEBIN DESIGN and tries to interpret the contemporary human centered design by proposing a new idea for commercial space—“new interpretation with the right amount of balance”.

E31 Boutique Sessùn in Toulouse, France by BAST

Thursday, November 29th, 2018

Article source: BAST

Situated in the Toulousian’s historic district, a mansion house’s wing is renovated to host a Sessun’s shop. Fonctions are spread among the 4 levels of the building in order to avoid partition walls within each floor. Reserves take place in the basement ; the retail space is on the ground floor related to the street ; the first floor become the show room to host special events and the attic space is dedicated to the staff. The building is purged of interventions that have taken place over time to give back to see the original construction materials: brick walls, wooden floors and beams. Creating floor openings ,by taking off wood planks from it ,allow the difusion of light from a glass roof the the ground floor and reveals  the built volume of the initial construction.
