Driven by a passion for content and technology, HBO Digital Products is charged with developing HBO’s new digital and interactive experiences and is responsible for such products as HBO GO and HBO NOW. To manage dramatic expansion in the Seattle area, HBO signed a lease for the top three floors of a new mid-rise building known as Hill7. They recognized this as an opportunity to develop a high-performance workspace that would support their main objective—reengineering entertainment.
The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts and the National Capital Planning Commission have unanimously approved a pedestrian bridge linking the Kennedy Center Expansion to the Potomac Riverfront, also connecting the Center to Georgetown to the north and the Lincoln Memorial to the South to create new public access.
“This is a joyful moment for a public space which will be shared and enjoyed by many in the future,” said Steven Holl. “After thoughtful review by these regulatory agencies, we have achieved complete approval for our Kennedy Center Expansion project and its public access to the Potomac Riverfront.”

The ground floor of a residential building in the center of Berlin has been transformed into a creative co-working site that offers not only work space but also space for children and families. This is a functional solution for a diverse audience that wants to work, play and have fun under one roof. This space enables young parents to combine their professional aspirations with their family lives in order to achieve a balanced working life in this phase of their lives. It also contributes to the formation of an informal community of parents and young professionals who share common professional and family problems.
M50 Art Hotel Project is located in Pingle, Sichuan. Pingle Ancient Town is planned to be a music theme town. Therefore, the starting point of this project is around “Music”. In this project, MUDA- Architects strives to explore and activate local culture genes, and to create a landmark building that can inherit the historical context and also is forward-looking. It is an architecture which is able to talk to the future.
MUDA-Architects hopes to further explore the relationship between architecture and music in the design: tapping into the local history and culture, we learnt that the love story between Zhuo Wenjun and Sima Xiangru happened in Qionglai. Taking the song “Feng Qiu Huang” as the starting point, guqin was found, and the strings was extracted. The project abstracts the action of “touching the strings” into architectural form. When the strings solidify at the climax, the final form of the building is obtained, which also responds to the theme “Architecture is frozen music”.
This project is an apartment built for Guangda investement group with the theme of ” Ideal Living Unit of Future”. Beyond space and dimensional restrictions are a brand-new exploration of the future living space by SODA Architects.
Generally, the boundary of space is defined by its physical location. Using digital materials to break the physical boundary and using the digital images as the connection with different dimensions to achieve the elegant fusion of Screen Wall and Wall Transparent is the starting point of our design.
The brief asked for desk area for 12-14 people, a conference room, a library, a kitchenette and break out area, while keeping the space open and without visual clutter when needed in a 1000 sf space.
In order to fit the requirements of the client, central area of the space is dedicated for a continuous work desk while conference room, library, kitchenette and break out area was located on the two ends.
Playstudios offices, planned and designed by RUST Architects, are located in a complex of three industrial buildings in south Tel Aviv, which served as an exhibition and events hall and an old sewing workshop of Kastiel, Israel's oldest high-end furniture company.
Unlike most of new high-tech offices in Tel Aviv, which are located in new towers, the planning required the design of an existing industrial complex, constructed of beams, concrete pillars, and wide windows that are open to a large inner courtyard with its old tree and climbing plants that are synonymous with the complex.
Until the 18th century, Gràcia neighborhood was a rural town articulated by “masías” (typical Catalonian rural housing), religious convents, and high-society manor houses. From the 19th century, with the second industrial revolution and the destruction of Barcelona’s medieval walls, the neighborhood became key to the urbanistic expansion of the city. All ancient cultivation fields became terrain to construct and install new industries. Paseo de Gràcia, being the bourgeoisie’s favorite Sunday walk path, soon propelled Vila de Gràcia to be permanently annexed to Barcelona in the year 1897.
CHYBIK + KRISTOF ARCHITECTS & URBAN DESIGNERS announce the completion of the Urban Infill Lofts in Brno, Czech Republic. The five-story building comprises of 14 modern residential lofts and commercial spaces, offering panoramic views of the city. The architect’s urban design maximized the potential of the limited area, amplifying the plot through an irregular polygon floorplan and a geometric sculptural staircase. A commissioned site-specific light installation by artist Petr Dub adorns the building’s exterior. With its location near the center, the building will provide benefits of urban living to its inhabitants, becoming a landmark of the area.
The project concerns the interior design of an atelier which was used as by an artist, on whom we realized a new space of work as archives.
These existing spaces intended in office/archives which are used by the artist reminded us first to use of the natural light coming from skylight.
We created this project by using the panels of the expanded metal and throwing of the Japanese paper pulp which will give a soft atmosphere to the space of former industrial inspiration.
