Developed by the german architects stadiumconcept for the FIFA World Cup 2022 the Floating OffShore Stadium represents an extraordinary and ambitious concept – it can be regarded being the most sensational stadium solution since the emergence of modern sport arenas. The Floating OffShore Stadium is a swimming construction that can be relocated to seaside venues across the oceans.
Home to FC Barcelona, Camp Nou Stadium is already the largest in Europe, with over 98,000 seats. The challenge of this project is to reinvent the existing stadium, enlarging it to accommodate 106,000 fans and provide greatly enhanced public areas and increased hospitality facilities. The project goes beyond a simple refurbishment to impact on the spirit of the place. El Barça is ‘more than a club’, and in that sense Camp Nou is ‘more than a stadium’: it is a symbol of the pride the fans feel for their team; a landmark for the city of Barcelona, and beyond that for the Catalan people.

JDS Architects’ Holmenkollen Ski Jump has been announced as the winner of the 2011 ECCS Structural Steel Design Award today at the ECCS Congress in Postdam, Germany. The award recognizes outstanding design in steel construction emphasizing the many advantages of steel in construction, production, economy and architecture.
The European Steel Design Awards are given by the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) every two years to encourage the creative and outstanding use of steel in architecture and construction.
145 years ago the first Norwegian took off from a hill, catapulting himself to the sky, creating a sport that would spread all over the world and captivate millions. Today Oslo remains the undisputed capital of ski jumping, having had annual competitions at Holmenkollen since 1892, served the Olympics in 1952 and hosted several world championships. The Holmenkollen site has been the cradle of evolution in ski jumping and the facility was revisited and improved more than twenty times. Its building history represents a form of record or architectural fossil of the discipline’s progress.
Based solutions arena stadium and surrounding territory, formed a desire to meet all UEFA requirements for stadiums 4-th category, the desire of the customer was to obtain additional land for commercial use (at least 3000 square meters). It was also an important factor that the building is located outside the city limits, the territory on all sides surrounded by pine plantations, with a flat topography. The result was the decision to have the stadium in a single, coherent volume, with the recommendations of «buttresses» the input of groups combined with the ticket offices. Bionic shape of the building, a new object relates to the natural environment, creating a memorable and iconic object symbol, new platform of urban activity in the bowl of the stadium and at venues around him.
Lately, for various reasons, there has been constant instability and uncertainty that has impeded generating a sporting culture in San Diego where support for the home team is part of the urban and social fabric of the city. The idea of the San Diego Chargers leaving to another location (most possibly LA) created a somber feeling amongst their fans. With that thought, DBRDS wanted to explore an architectural solution for a new stadium downtown that would capture the imagination of the City, the fans & the Chargers to be inspired to want to stay & forever belong in San Diego… to become an iconic fabric of people’s in this great City.
Sports Park Stožice is a hybrid project. Its realisation is the result of the public-private partnership between the city of Ljubljana and Grep development company. The 187,500sqm Sports Park Stožice combines a football stadium and a multi-purpose sports hall with a large shopping centre, which is covered by a recreational park landscape.

The can ricart council sports center is a building situated in a zone with a number of important developments in recent years with others pending. the complex is important for the revitalisation of the neighbourhood, which is historically a run-down area and also has to contribute to the integration of all social strata to the area through wellbeing and its use of sporting activities.
Carnegie Pavilion is a semi-freestanding ‘dual-use’ pavilion on five floors, comprising a gross internal area (GIA) of 4,000m², and broken down into three sub-zones: exclusive Leeds Met spaces + exclusive YCCC spaces + ‘dual-use’ spaces (comprising 70% of total area). Leeds Met areas are primarily for teaching kitchen, hospitality and staff accommodation, and YCCC areas for player’s facilities and staff accommodation. ‘dual-use’ lecture rooms are used primarily by Leeds Met, during the academic year, and by YCCC, during the cricket season, as corporate hospitality suites. Similarly, ‘dual-use’ meeting rooms are used primarily by Leeds Met, during the academic year, and by YCCC, during the cricket season, as TV and radio commentary boxes.
