We aim at combining urban infrastructure related to comfort and connectivity with the practical aspect of rural life. In our hybrid scheme both scenarios blend together in spaces properly equipped (with adaptable usages, thermic and closure conditions, etc).
The ‘MBO Raad’ is the Dutch Association of VET Colleges. The association represents all government--funded colleges for secondary vocational education and training and adult education in the Netherlands. The entrance to the building of this educational organization is highlighted by a colourful arch. COEN! created this art object called ‘gate to the future’, symbolizing the access to education.

The apartment is situated in the Medina Building by the London architect Neave Brown. On top of each apartment is a garden terrace. A hanging garden. This makes the building a green paradise in the heart of the city and makes the apartment really a house upside down!

COEN! created a new working environment and identity layer for the ‘Besturenraad / BKO’. The monumental entrance hall of the Netherlands Broadcasting Music Centre, originally designed by architect Elling and afterwards restyled by ‘Architects Cie’ is metamorfosed into a fresh and spacious whole. The new reception and waiting room have been transformed into two large kiosks. All in harmony with the existing building but definitely bearing the Coen van Ham signature. The brightly coloured new furniture give the library and large entrance hall a sparkling, musical red blaze.
