In the design for the new incubator and multi-tenant building on the university campus in Wageningen, start-ups and knowledge-intensive technological businesses in the agro and food sectors will have a place for research and open innovation.

Editions MP in Mexico City by LANZA Atelier

Tuesday, December 13th, 2016

Article source: LANZA Atelier

Editions MP is a project for the offices of a new publisher of art books.

We designed and produced all the furniture. The proposal was to organize all the elements following an unbroken line around the entire perimeter of the space, closing on itself. From the marble sliding door, through the shelves, tables, hanging library and the platform on which the couch rests, all the intervention stood on this virtual line, freeing the central space to make it as flexible as possible.

Cafe SAPOON SAPOON in Seoul, South Korea by Betwin Space Design

Thursday, November 10th, 2016

Article source: Betwin Space Design

“Two years for gathering energy of the earth with the sounds of water, wind and human footstep, and six years for looking after ginseng. Six-year-old Red Ginseng nourished by the devotion of KGC(Korea Ginseng Corporation) for eight years. ”Opened on the first floor of KT&G (Korea Tobacco & Ginseng Corporation) Tower last August, Café Sapoon Sapoon expresses the advertising copy of Cheong-Kwan-Jang implicatively. Sapoon Sapoon is a compound word of Saponin, main ingredient of red ginseng, and Spoon, a tool to deliver taste and nutriment of food. As Sapoon also means ‘a figure of light and careful step’ and ‘light and refreshing state of body and mind’ in pure Korean word, people can feel refreshing scenery with light beverage. Sapoon Sapoon is a casual space created by KGC in order to be free from the perception, ‘Red ginseng is nothing but health functional food’, while keeping credibility of company and its quality-first spirit. Betwin Space Design grafted traditional ideology of Cheong-Kwan-Jang on this café modernly.

Eaton Mews North in London, England by Roselind Wilson Design

Friday, November 4th, 2016

Article source: Roselind Wilson Design

Eaton Mews North is a 1,700 square foot mews house located in Belgravia and arranged over four floors. Roselind Wilson Design was appointed as the interior architect to redevelop the structural interior layouts, furniture layouts and design of the kitchen, bathrooms and all interior finishes and details including doors, skirtings, joinery, architectural and decorative lighting, the staircase and all wall finishes. In keeping with the client’s brief to develop something that is unique, the look is undoubtedly layered with focus on textured fabrics and finishes and the striking use of battered and aged bronzes with bleached floors and textured timbers set against polished and honed marbles with exquisite veining and textured tiles with understated wall papers to create a subtle sense of glamour. The palette was very textural with bronzes, beiges, taupes and chocolates being the foundation colours with slight accents of green tones. The use of these tones allows for a calming sense of luxury with no brutal features that dominate the space.

Belsize Park in North West London, England by Roselind Wilson Design

Thursday, November 3rd, 2016

Article source: Roselind Wilson Design

Roselind Wilson Design was appointed to carry out the design and complete refurbishment of this 2138 square foot duplex apartment in Belsize Park, North West London. As a blank canvas, the property already demonstrated a spectacular foundation from which to start; with its extraordinary high ceilings, curved walls and door to the Drawing Room, elaborate original cornicing and enormous windows flooding the rooms with light. This stunning backdrop coupled with the client’s international influences, allowed Roselind Wilson Design to produce a stunning architectural space; modern yet classic and with a focus on rich texture and ambient lighting. Through the use of raw and textured timbers, bronze, antiqued brass and copper, marbles and a monochromatic palette a truly beautiful and welcoming space was created for the client to call home.

Between Land and Sky home in Beit Zayit, Israel by Joel Jospe – Architects

Wednesday, October 26th, 2016

Article source: Joel Jospe – Architects

When I first saw the lot, the steep slope overlooking the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ein Karem, I wanted to do one thing only – to keep walking forward, hover in the air above the canyon, quietly observing the landscape visible in every direction. This was the primary motivation during planning. I did not give up this desire, or the opportunity inherent in it, and have given it to the owners.
