Most city parts of Almere, a city with almost 190.000 inhabitants, have a petting farm. In the ‘den Uyl’ park there used to be one, but it burned down in the early 80’s, leaving only its concrete foundation. Early 2005 we were commissioned by the municipality of Almere to design a new petting farm on the exact location and the remaining foundation. The building was finally built using almost only sponsored money, and finished late 2008.
The city of Almere has a sheep population of about 80 sheep. The sheep are mobilized to keep the powerful weed “acanthus” or “bears-breech” that grows in the “vroege vogel” – forest and “kromsloot” – park in Almere under control. To centralize and house this population, a sheep stable was needed. The stable is designed with an a-symmetrical homogeneous cross-section. The part of the building where the sheep reside is relatively low; the high part is situated above the (public) pathway and the hay storage section, making it possible to store a maximum amount of hay. This shape also creates a natural flow for the air inside the building, which is refreshed by two slits at the foot of each long side of the building.
The commission (March 2008) consisted of a detached house with outbuildings on a plot in villa park ‘de Noordzoom’ in Lelystad, at the foot of the Enkhuizen – Lelystad dike. The family wanted, like many others, light, air and space.
The house is a one-story bungalow, while the site asked for a response to “living at the water.” The latter is accomplished by making a veranda along the entire length of the building (south), at the most important rooms of the house; from bedroom, to wardrobe, to the master bathroom, to hobby room to the kitchen and finally to the dining- and around the corner the living room. Along this line, there is a transition from water to veranda, to completely glass facade, with doors behind which all mentioned areas are.
In the City Tower competition in Cheongna, Korea, was asked to design an high rise building in a city of future development. Our principal idea for this project has been to concentrate and organize an urban complex node in an unique building and a center of attraction. Our intention has been to formalize this main concept through a consistent architectural structure with a form that respects its consistency in every part, still taking different shapes in order to host the different functions of the project program.
Software used: The projects are redacted using mostly 3dstudio max with the eventual contribution of autocad, with different renderings engines, in particular we have used mental ray.
The project’s design and planning focus on a thorough understanding of the local context. The building responds to existing scales. Its location and architecture dentote the space´s public nature and inject new life into the site. By taking surrounding public spaces into consideration when designing the project ,we reinforced the notion that this building is a public facility, a landmark within the surrounding disorder.
90 Degrees architecture is a research on the urban environment of the city of Milan.
The idea informing this projects is to work on parts of the city uncompleted and never solved, without any urban or architectural quality. Our specific interest is to act on the never finished and never designed blind facades of buildings results of a failed development of the urban fabric and of a lack of design.
Our interest is focused on these “Walls” that, in the best of the circumstances, are spaced dedicated to commercial posters or low quality decorations and just in very few cases solved, usually through the use of green climbing natural patterns.

We propose a contemporary design and architecture for our proposals for the temporary architectures at the Kernel Festival, in the park of Villa Tittoni in Desio. Our approach is inspired by the shapes, the imagination and the way of thinking of a digital environment and paradigm, through a non standard attitude, parametric geometry and lighting. This according to the temporary nature of the projects (existing just from the 1st of July to the 3rd of July 2011), a specific attention in the simplicity of the assemblage of the parts, the use of the given construction materials, the photovoltaic panels and the plastic profiles.

We like sustainability, we think is probably on of the most important issue in contemporary architecture.. but we are still architects.. and we like forms and space too… that why we invented the SUNSCRAPER:
This is a project for a tower wrapped by solar panels. 15.277 swinging solar panels have been assembled to create a continuous skin around the building. The form of our tower wants to be organic and fluid, the perception would be of an architecture quality work and a functioning engine at the same time. We want to re interpret technique adding a formal input to it. Our effort is to maximize sustainability and energy production creating at the same time a pleasant and contemporary expression of architecture.

“DO IT BEFORE NOT AFTER” – floating structures operation – A new way to think at disaster The worlds is becoming more and more sensitive to the climate changing, that, according to the most reputed studies, will have heavy and often dramatic effects on the earth and on us. Recently very well known dramatic events pushed the citizens, the governments and the organizations to think new and more appropriate strategies in order to provide relief to the population’s victims of these catastrophic natural events. This is the aim of this competition too. In medicine there are mostly two ways to try to reduce the impact of diseases on people; one is to cure and the other one is to prevent. We all know that to prevent is better than to cure.
