Background and Context
Since 2008, 21 new kindergartens have been built in Medellín in barrios with problems of insecurity and social inequality. The El Pinal Kindergarten was awarded through a public architectural tender and has been conceived as a space for education, culture and life. The project is located on the slopes of the central – eastern area of Medellín, in a sector of unplanned settlements and informal housing.

After purchasing a discarded construction trailer for just €15, owners Kris and Griet together with Ghent-based architect practice Karel Verstraeten have transformed it into an inhabitable space.
Wanting to create a small dwelling that could be used for either studying and resting or partying, the unit was pulled to the back of the garden by a local farmer. Its existing structure was completely stripped back and replaced with new materials.
Worship of rectangle! But levels in volumes are linked by arched elements (stairs). intrigating?
The very process of designing of this house was like a materialization of every architect’s dream – awesome land plot in pinewood park in the very best suburb of Vilnius, young ambitious and very demanding owners seeking for the best quality and extraordinary high-end solid house for their family to live in.
Spire Edge office tower stands as an iconic landmark on a new IT park located in Manesar, Gurgaon, India.
The tower is a 21 storey building accommodating offices, auditorium, gallery and other facilities.
Ecoinfrastructure
The key design feature of the iconic tower is a continuous green ecoinfrastructure at the north façade, ascending up the tower through green ramps from the basement, infusing it with an ecological and social terraces and garden and back down on the rear facade by a series of ramps around a meeting room.

Scope of Work
Open up back area of the home so the lake views could be seen from end to end, creating a larger kitchen with ample storage space and a complete with a custom wine bar for entertaining. Rework layout of master ensuite to include a custom steamshower , freestanding tub and double vanity. A complete finish update to both floors to create a cohesive look.
Compressed between a narrow lane and Lake Washington, this project is an exercise in negotiating the competing demands of prospect and refuge. The owners asked for a welcoming modern home with a sense of privacy and seamless connection between indoors and out.
FiftyThree is a space to create – a combination between work space, library, home and a forest. Honest materials and understated confidence. Under this creed – that we never lost sight of – we created a space that involved a very honest and open layout that promoted teamwork and collaboration.

The Tucson Mountain Lava House is situated within the eastern alluvial flow of the Tucson Mountains, a terrain that falls gently toward the Santa Cruz River. Defined by a wide drainage to the south, the landscape is richly populated by low-lying bedrock outcroppings, saguaro and barrel cacti, palo verde, ocotillo, jojoba, and creosote.
Gastronomic LAB – A series of chambers infused by a varying gastronomical experiences – display of produce, court to enjoy, and laboratory. The later one composed of a hot and cold sections complemented by the cold pressed juice section. Smells, colors, taste and nature will intervene to create one single space that can be fragmented into self sufficient parts but at the same time work as a whole. A laboratory that studies, preserves and maintains the natural active ingredients, minerals, flavors and aromas in food.
Amarin Apartment Village is located north of the city of Rovinj, surrounded by lush vegetation. Next to the existing 272 apartments, the old substandard ones were removed from the site and 190 new were built in their place. The new buildings location is partly determined by the existing pedestrian paths that continue into the new project; and by the plots gentle slope from north to south. The Village was conceived to have a high quality intimate outdoor space that accompanies each apartment as well as a comfortable interior.
