A crown jewel of the Jack Daniel Distillery grounds, the house (one of the first buildings seen by visitors approaching Lynchburg) was originally commissioned by Lem Motlow, second in a line of proprietors who have consistently delivered the best Tennessee whiskeys available.
With a keen sensitivity to the history of this 1930’s Georgian home and its role at the distillery, the reconstruction maintains the residential scale and character of Lem’s original creation. This was accomplished through careful reinvention of the interior to bring together local Jack Daniel’s hosts and enthusiasts from near and far in an environment that immerses guests in the unique form of hospitality that the brand is so well known for.
The U House is characterized by its unifying concrete structure and glass facades.
the project tries to create an environment of openness to the outdoor, the curvilinear geometry with the pitched roofs is accentuated by a thin glazing revealing the landscape around the house.
Overland Trail Cabin is a 4,200-SF luxury estate located in the world-renowned Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in California. BCV Architecture + Interiors designed the property so homeowners could take advantage of mountain living year-round; the home is close to several hiking and mountain bike trails for warmer months and offers direct chair lift access during colder months.
Apartment no.135 is a five-story residential building located in Saadat Abad, northwest of Tehran. Each floor contains a single three-bedroom unit. The ground floor houses the main entrance, lobby and a multi-purpose room. Other amenities such as pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and parking are located in the basement.
This project is for modest yet highly detailed alterations and additions to an existing detached weatherboard Edwardian residence with a rear Western aspect in Camberwell, Victoria. As well as the proposed living area additions, the brief called for the upgrading of existing bath rooms, wardrobes, improved internal circulation, the provision of a swimming pool, and landscaped utility areas.
The City of Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases, marked its centennial with the addition of a new, multi-faceted space at the heart of its Duarte, California campus. In addition to creating 7,000sqft for lectures, exhibits, events, and administrative offices, the LEED Platinum Centennial Pavilion engages the landscape to form an outdoor sanctuary.
The Jackson Dinsdale Art Center (JDAC) serves Hasting College as an iconic piece of the campus’ master plan as well as a functioning gallery space for the larger fabric of the surrounding community. The center includes comprehensive studios for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work ranging from painting, print making, and drawing to metal fabrication, glass blowing and ceramics.
Ccasa Hostel is the first hostel which was built from shipping containers in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The location of the hostel is on the north of the city, about 3km from the center, 3 minutes walking from the beach. It is close to famous sights in Nha Trang: Hon Chong – Hon Vo (huge rocky headland in associate with fascinating local myth), Khmer’s temple of goddess Ponaga, natural mineral water spring resort I-resort, etc.
This home we named the Artery residence. The couple has been repeatedly named by ARTnews in the top 200 contemporary art collectors globally. The focus of this home is the art collection and how it flows and is pumped throughout the home, by way of a main ‘artery’.
This contemporary reconfiguration of a Victorian terrace overlooks a new roof garden. The garden follows the traditional gabled roof form and serves as an external link to the tree canopy of the adjacent pocket park. First floor rooms are reconfigured as contiguous space allowing daylight to permeate into the terrace.
