The Project´s basic idea was to have minimum impact in the natural setting. Having this in mind we planed the house to be felt smaller tan what it really is. In proportion it is 15% smaller tan the average existing projects in the club prioritizing the relation between the architecture and its natural setting.
The Marc-Simoneau sports complex is a major sports facility in Quebec City. It regroups under the same roof two skating rink and a soccer field. The site has been chosen by Quebec City in accordance with its potential, its localization, its corporative neighbors and existing exterior sports equipment (three elevenplayer soccer fields, four seven-player soccer fields, an outdoor pool with water games).
The Falcon House challenges the inappropriate, contemporary approach of destroying the native landscape and topography. The upper level hovers gently as a white object, the lower level is a black shadow, in the middle is a thin zone of grey that reminds us that nothing is ever ‘black or white’.

The administrative center is located at the heart of the ExpoCité complex, near the Centre de foires de Québec and the Pavillon de la Jeunesse. The project includes a shared lobby, a wharf, storage and archiving spaces, a rest area, men and women changing rooms, an exhibition room, a waiting room with front desk, extensive individual and group work spaces, offices and printing area.
The design of Copine restaurant frames the open kitchen, offering guests a view into the artistry behind chef Shaun McCrain’s approach to contemporary American cuisine highlighted with classic French cooking techniques. Equal parts intimate and social, the space offers a scale of transparency throughout, allowing the food to take center stage.
This five-hundred-square-foot cabin serves as a private writer’s retreat and guest cottage. The owners asked for a space that felt connected to its island setting—the mild climate, scenic views, and proximity to wildlife. At the same time, they needed a structure that could be easily secured when not in use.
Countryside Villa is a project by Officina29 Architetti and includes the renovation of an existing house and the construction of a guest house with a swimming pool.
The renovation project stems from two specific intentions: to restore the right proportions between living and sleeping areas and open the building to the countryside, thereby generating a direct relationship between internal and external environment.
In its cultural development policy framework and renovation of the Moulins neighbourhood, the City of Lille started in 2009 the building of a new cultural equipement that could enable the development of Moulins’s existing Maison Folie, that lacked specific spaces to carry out all of its projects, and to create a Euroregional Center of Urban Cultures (The Flow – House of Hip-Hop), a structure made necessary by the importance of activities linked to that practice that had until then no place to unfold. The importance of this project justified its integration in a site close to the town center. The will to unite these two equipments in a same place presented numerous advantages for both structures, including the possibility to ensure de facto synergy, their objectives being common. The Maison Folie, that had already conquered its own public in five years of existence, was forced to refuse or postpone numerous projects (dance, theatre, plastic and visual arts) due to lack of space.
Our client, who is from the sports world, wanted an open-plan house for entertaining but also a photography studio and a gallery space suitable for hanging his large art projects. Working with Barry Chase of CMF Homebuilders and Linda Dahan of Highfire Interior Design, the project began with an empty hilltop lot but required a 10-foot high retaining wall to create a sturdy level pad for building.
Qingwan district is located at Penghu’s Fongguei Peninsula. Surrounded by sea, it is abundant in marine resources and natural wonders. The basaltic landscape, diverse vegetation, and forts remained from the military days make Qingwan the perfect place for tourism development.
